I mean, look at how often TNT makes fun of Charles Barkley, yet no one accuses TNT of disrespecting Charles Barkley. Obviously as the GOAT Jordan was still a hell of a lot better than Barkley, but life is too short to not have a sense of humor.

Thats part of the argument that the Jordan era was toxic to basketball for years. People idolized him so much (and some still do) that they treat them like superheros and not real human beings. The current NBA has pulled away from that, and now has arguably the most relatable players in the league because of the fun they have. Thats why I hope the Warriors win 73 games and the title, so people can finally exhale from the 90s era and move on/give the era proper context.

rose had some freak injuries, which stopped him down. If it weren't for the injuries he'd still be one the leagues top pgs

Exactly. Curry still has ten years worth of work ahead of him before he is defined as the 'best shooter in history'. Best pure shooter? Best single season from distance? On track and well deserved. But in 30 years time his name has to be there on the lists that matter. 73 wins will help his cause too.. because people will still be talking about the team he led until someone gets 74.
