If the revenues dictate more pay, then of course they would and should.

It's a 50/50 split (IIRC)... It's percentage based...

Sure. I'm sure that percentage and what's fair would change depending costs incurred by franchises. If revenues increased a lot, with costs staying the same, the players would and should argue for a higher percentage.

Eh, 1 or 2 percent isn't worth a lockout or bad PR. Just my opinion.

The fact that DD is the second highest paid on this list makes me sick.

A lockout is when management refuses to admit (i.e locks out) the laborers. The players aren't at fault for that, unless you're suggesting they just accede to whatever demands the owners make, without negotiating.

So you'd rather the billionaire owners pocket the money instead of the players??? Supply and demand. Good for the players

What's wrong with owners making more money? I'd like to see the players try organizing their own league.

You can thank Micky Mouse and Ted Turner for all these contracts...

it'd have been 1.7 billion had they not lost the last lockout. of course they'll want to win the next one to make back their losses

here's a crazy idea: maybe the owners don't deserve to keep 51% of something they have no hand in producing

they don't. they hire gm's who run trades and personnel, hire managers who hire workers who do the work of organizing and promoting the league. the owner would make the same money if they spent their days micromanaging their team chasing deep prospects in slovakia or jerking off
