I was thinking about going from regular 5 on 5 playing, to more Streetball in the future and playing official competitive 3x3 tournament.

Turns out, FIBA and Wilson has invented a new Basketball that is the official game ball of every tournament or 3x3 game.

This ball has a children size, and some weird waves shape forms around it. Its unusual to play Basketball with the children/woman sized ball, and the strange wave shape makes the fingers move and tilt unexpectedly in thise furrows when shooting.

Bottom line, the ball sucks.

It messes up your control, balance and groove when going back and forth from regular Basketball to Streetball.

Now you also always have this discussions on the court, whether to use real Basketball or this weird official Wilson with the furrows and the child size.

I'm thinking of not getting into more Streetball play just because of this weird ball.

Its obvious for FIBA and Wilson its all about making more money, selling alot of new balls. But having this equipment mess now. Do you agree this is a very good move for $$$ but a bad move for the Sport.

bizarre. why would you not just play with a regulation basketball?

I don't think the European ball, the NBA ball, or women's balls should be any different from each other

I think the ball should stay round not wave shaped.

its the same size as women's basketball - size 6

looks like they play with volleyball but for serious fiba competition itself always wack and awful, they know they can't stand against NBA or euroleague kind level so they targeting youth competition to make money
