Buddy Beast- Last two games:

18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists in 28 minutes, 7-14 FG

14 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 31 minutes, 5-12 FG

And again his first game:

19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assist in 25 minutes, 8-12 FG

Buddy looks really good out there. Shot wasn't falling as well in Rockets game, but handled the ball well and really looks like he belongs. My only knock on him thus far is he tends to drift with his off ball defense. It's a bad habit, but hopefully he can improve on that.

Kay Felder looks like the fastest player in the NBA by far.
He has ways to go to but he is very much intriguing and fun to watch.

Did you notice when that post was made?

He was my sleeper for the draft, by the time the draft rolled around, after Dunn I thought he was the best PG in the draft and shouldve gone late 1st round. Huge steal for Cleveland.

Yeah, he is awesome.
I'd say the steals of the draft are:
Felder
McCaw
Zubac those 3 for sure and then there are a ton of others that can prove to be a steal but I can't say for certain.

If I were to come up with a top 3 list for 2nd round steals those will probably be my top 3 as well. I will throw in Brogdon as an honorable mention.

When it comes to McCaw I think he is going to get around 15 minutes a game during the regular season and in all honesty, I think he fits the team just as well as Barnes did. Now he cant guard 4s like Barnes could but McCaw can guard 1-3 and just like Barnes wont be asked to do anything offensively except hit open 3s which he can do. Hes like a hybrid of Livingston and Barnes, im very very excited for McCaw.

Really like Zubac as well, may not see too much from him this year, but in a few years I think people will definitely few him as a steal

Yeah McCaw, Brogdon and Felder were like steal candidates even before the draft. Zubac is a nice surprise for a Laker fan like me, when he gets stronger he will be a Marc Gasol lite, hopefully. Also Hield was the guy i wanted above Ingram for the Lakers and even though I'm ok with Ingram I hope he does well too.

Joel Embiid's per 36 stats for his first 4 preseason games:

25.9 points
11.5 rebounds
3.6 blocks
81.3% FT's on 11.5 attempts/game

He's only shooting 38% from the field, but watching the games you can see the rust and nerve factor is there, nonetheless very impressive for a guy who hasn't played high level basketball in 2+ years

Bogut still using his patent moving screens, Dallas are getting wide open looks but bricking most of them
Westbrook was pissed by a moving screen in the 1st quarter and he pushed bogut, that was kinda funny.

Not a single assist, though. I hope he's going to turn out to be a solid and willing passer out of the post and not a black hole (so far, he really doesn't see the floor or pass the ball well). He's rusty, though, and his teammates aren't exactly world beaters so I'll wait and see.

He's just trying to get his for now - which I'm alright with. He's only playing 12 minutes a game.

One thing that's become obvious in the early going for Kris Dunn....his shot is a work in progress. Here are his shooting numbers through three preseason games:

2-8
2-12
1-7

He's a ways off from overtaking Rubio's starting spot, so his bid for ROY is looking unlikely unless something drastically changes. He's been as expected on defense though.

Love what I'm seeing from Thon so far. His defensive upside is just crazy, and he's actually impacting games already there. Offense is a work in progress, but the tools are there. Jumpshot shows a lot of promise out to 3PT, if he can refine that and add 10-15 pounds to absorb contact in the paint, he's going to be a good one.

I know it is preseason, but haven't seen much talk about Ingram. I am only looking @ his stats but his numbers are garbage. Is he passing the eye test at least?

As for Embiid. With his limited minutes he is gunning right now just trying to get his. Imagine you're a guy who hasn't played in 2 years and has a lot of pressure from fans & teammates. He's trying to prove himself to people which is why he probably has no assists. You can tell though if he stays healthy and continues to develop he's going to be a 20ppg scorer his entire career, easy.

I'm really excited to see Okafor - Embiid - Simmons on the same court.

So there were alot of comparisons between Tyler Ulis and Kay Felder,
Who do you think looks better so far in terms of immediate impact and upside?
and who would you rather take?
