Anyone else get really annoyed with..

The way the Celtics flop every game? It's almost disrespectful to the game of basketball. I turned on the Celtics/Pistons game yesterday and just see Crowder flopping all over the place and then I check twitter and saw a heat fan retweeting a video of Zeller and Thomas flopping against the Heat.
And we all know Marcus Smart..
I just wish the league would do something about this. They play hard and then flop at perfect times and get the calls. I wish my Knicks would flop a little more if it meant winning :/ Only Jennings and Vujacic exaggerate at times, but the whole darn Celtics team do it! Very frustrating to watch and just wanted to see if other people were annoyed by their antics.

Marcus Smart is real annoying with it but we've known that back before he was even in the league.

This is a broad generalization. Make more specific points.

The Celtics are 23rd in FTA per game, if they flop so hard the refs are really good at ignoring it. They flop just as much as the next team.

Leviathan wrote:It's an NBA-wide issue, the celtics simply may just have more flippers. NBA players typically come from communities that don't highly value morals and ethics. Most players naturally just don't feel like they are doing anything wrong when they are deceiving referees. It's really not their fault as it's a parenting issue. The head coach is not their parents so it's not their job to preach morals; Marc Jackson tried it and it simply doesn't work in an NBA locker room.
And the NBA will never put much of a halt on flopping as it will impact their bottom line. James Harden and Westbrook have been huge for the NBA this year; imagine if they were suspended for lengthy periods to start this season? Would really hurt the bottom line
Blame it on the parents

Please.
It's quite different watching the Celtics play than any other team.

The Spurs have been the leagues best floppers for almost 20 years now.
As much as it sucks, unfortunately it's very effective in selling calls to officials. And that's at every level not just NBA.

It's more of a league wide problem. Marcus Smart just give the Celtics a bad rep for it.
Until the NBA starts enforcing fines based on a percentage of a player's salary for flopping this won't stop.

Smart is absolutely infuriating for sure.
Isaiah is annoying in that while he's amazing for doing what he does at his size, his size also oftentimes gives him waaay more pull with the refs. The level of contact (or lack thereof) it takes for him to draw a whistle compared to other players does get frustrating at times.
The other guys I'm gonna have to watch more closely. Crowder I've definitely seen flop a bit, but nowhere near as bad as Smart.

Looks like we found a good trade target for JJ Barea then...

It's definitely magnified by the deep feeling of irreverence held by their fans and commentators.

Well said on Thomas. He shot 15 FT attempts a few games ago.. I didn't watch, but man that's a lot.
Crowder is sneaky floppy (lol), but when you focus in on him, it is really bad IMO. He's a tough dude and shouldn't be doing that. Avery Bradley is as tough as they come and I don't see him flopping.

It happens. Everybody does it. Some more than others.
The only thing thats annoying to watch is James Hardens game.

Flopping was at its worst when the league introduce the warning/small fines, so clearly it isn't on the top of the agenda in regards to fixing. -it was a joke of an implementation and even those penalties haven't been enforced since then...
Like have we even seen a warning or a fine since the season began?

They are some of the worst floppers in the league and their announcers are still crying about calls.
When my team plays the celtics I try not to watch the game because I can't stand that shhhh.
Disgrace.

Tommy Heinsohn is the absolute worst. I just put it on mute when I have to listen to those guys.

Yeah, I'd love to hear the reasoning behind that statement...
