Sucks that Allen is out, one of my favourite players.

if vince joined warriors next year for a vet's minimum I wouldnt even be mad

grizzlies are definition of a treadmill, especially since they signed parsons who can't even stay on the court for a full game. Last year half their squad went missing from the playoffs, this year they are missing some of key players yet again, Next year they will be in the playoffs again somewhere 8th seed and still missing key players

Is this the most boring playoff series ever? Spurs in 5, but I could see the Grizzlies stretching it to 7.

I feel like this is going to be a great series.

Not many people are talking about about it because both teams aren't very popular with the media.

But anyways, do not underestimate this man.

This is going to be hard to watch, they are my favourite teams and as a spaniard i am also a fan of the Gasol brothers for the starters. Then unsurprisingly (given the precedents) the whole Parsons thing has been a total disaster and this great Memphis team is missing the last train to make big things. I think they have been just a decent signing away of making the Finals a couple of times, but we had to deal with the Parsons and Greens of life plus key injuries coming PO time. A real pitty if you consider how epic a group (IMO) the one of Marc, Conley, Randolph and Allen is and has been. Randolph is easily my favourite player in the league.

And then Allen misses out, to make things even worse.

This is Spurs in 5 probably, if not a sweep, and will root for the Spurs and Pau acordingly in the future. Would love a steal in the first game or some "Vince Carter for the win" moment though.

Yes, Grizzlies is my favorite team (Carter) and Spurs is right next with my second favorite player (Kawhi), it's unfortunately for me.

Would be fun to see just like how Cater with Mavs almost took down Spurs in the first round few years ago with Vince's crazy shot!

Looking forward to this. Like the style the tough group of Griz vets bring. And Vince is an inspiration to all us ageing one time players.

Going with the Spurs in a battle tested 5 games. Memphis losing Tony Allen to guard Kawhi is a big loss.

Being as objective as possible, I think the Grizzlies will make this a good series. Just too many proud veterans who are battle tested. To the crowd saying the Grizzlies will get swept, I just don't see how you could make that case.

Conley and Gasol are both having career years and Randolph is still holding strong coming off the bench, ready to play a bigger role if called upon. Those three guys I'm not in the least worried about. But what does trouble me is some of the depth issues. I don't necessarily like all of the role players around those guys. If we can get out of the norm production out of two of the following group: Wright, Ennis, Carter, Harrison, Green, we might good for a surprise.

The loss of Tony Allen hurts when Kawhi starts going off, no question.

I think this will be a hard fought series, with the Spurs winning in 7, hoping for the exact opposite. The Spurs aren't nearly as lethal as they have been in the past, and I think when the games slow down, Memphis can utilize their size inside to exploit Aldridge/Gasol, who will never be mistaken as bruisers in the paint. But, the Spurs have the best player in this series, even though I feel like the Grizzlies have the 2nd and 3rd best players.

We will see how Conley and Gasol's career years translate into being the two clear alpha's. If those two perform in the final 3 minutes of games the way that they have all season long, look out.

God hear you, but if the Grizzlies were lacking depth already, Allen out sounds like the nail in the coffin. Agree on Conley, Gasol and Randolph putting a fight though.

Wayne Seldon starting at the 2 for the Grizzlies.

I don't expect him to play many minutes at all, mostly start of 1st, start of 3rd. Helps to create more opportunities and matchups later in the game. I expect to see a lot of Conley/Harrison combos in this game.
