Does Butler Have To Get It Done?

1st off I'm a big Rondo fan because I still prefer pass 1st pg's who can make their teammates better. With that being said, he's still past his prime and not an elite player anymore. Boston is a #1 seed but we can all agree that they aren't great and are also dealing with a death. Bulls still have a 2-0 lead and 3 of the final 4 games will be at home. I'm a big Butler fan. I love his underdog story and how he went from role player/defensive specialist to a Superstar. I also prefer 2 way players and often believe that they don't get enough credit. To me if Wade gives them anything at all then a true Superstar should be able to hold on with a 2 game lead, 3 home games, and an opponent who just left a funeral. Will you hold it against him or knock him down a peg if not?

They're still the 8th seed, so it wouldn't look like too much a disappointment if they blow it with Rondo missing a few games.

I don't really consider Butler a superstar, so I don't put that kind of pressure on him.

I think it's really up to Wade to be the leader.

I'm not gonna blame him or anyone else if they lose the series, I'm just disappointed because I like upsets.

I won't fully blame him for this one since it was a blowout but the Bulls did have the lead in the 2nd half without him showing up until the game was out of reach. I give him a pass because it may take a game to adjust but he has to be better. The good thing is that he found some rhythm late so maybe it carries over

If the bulls lose its perfectly fine. They lost Rajon Rondo, no one should expect them to be the same afterwards

Only if he goes up 3-1 like Kobe and T-Mac did(I am still somewhat shocked these guys are blamed for their series despite being lower seeds).

Interesting little story line, I guess.

But fans will always find a way to chop someone down. The Bulls will win or they won't. Jimmy will play great or he won't. And then he'll be the player people say he is.

It's such a weird thing to me, but I get it. Personally, I think certain things click for certain guys mid-game. A lot of times in the playoffs. Jimmy could raise his game to another level here and actually become a better player right before our eyes.

What I'm saying is, it's not like he's already who he is, but we don't fully know it yet, and will find out in this series. This series could make him a better player.

Anyone see what I'm saying? Or am I just enjoying too many 420 leftovers?

For as much grief as PG has gotten, he hasn't had a single game in his series as bad as Butler did tonight.

I need to see a Wade vs Lebron series. We never saw Lebron vs Kobe

Certainly a terrible performance from Butler. I do expect him to bounce back after the Bulls figure out a gameplan without Rondo.
