[2017 NBA Draft Discussion] - (1: PHI, 2: LAL, 3: BOS)!

I don't remember a draft with this much postering.

Remember the, "Jackson gaining momentum to go #1" rumor came out just before the, "Philly/Boston discussing #1 pick trade" rumor came out.

Obviously, Boston was leaning Fultz talked to Philly and leaked the Jackson rumor to save face with the fan base.

My question is, with the new rumor of "#3 potentially in play for Jimmy Butler", can Chicago really let Boston leave this draft with Butler AND the extra pick from Philly? Or is Boston planning on using #3 and then signing Hayward AND then trading BKN '18 + Extra pick from Philly for Butler???

I just think Brown + Jackson + Butler(or George) + (presumably at least one of) Bradley or Crowder AND Marcus Smart being mostly a 2guard (and up for an extension) is quite the wing logjam.

I think best realistic scenario for Boston is:

Lopez/(Euro rookie)
Horford/Olynyk
Crowder/Brown
Butler/Smart
Thomas/(Ball/Fox/Smith Jr.)
(Dual PG lineup with Horford at the 5 would be sick)
+ A free agent

By way of a Butler/Lopez for Bradley/Rozier/Chicago's choice of BKN '18 or LALSAC pick/Memphis or LAC pick

Damn, if the Cavs do nothing they're gonna be passed up big-time by the Celts (get Jimmy Butler and Hayward). Sadly, Cavs CAN'T do anything because nobody wants our garbage.

The best the Cavs can do is hope Melo forces a buyout.

And with talks of Bron going to LA after next year, this era of the Cavs is looking dire with no long term strategy set up other than hope their core develops.

Maybe the Mavs hop the Knicks or they can make a trade from #9 to #8 and the Knicks can get additional assets. Who knows. Knicks like all of the guards
