Yikes. Pacers should have traded him earlier I suppose.

If your the Lakers you trade for him now so you don't have to give Boston that 2-5 pick next year.

Danny needs to make this deal. If the Celtics can trade for him and land a max guy no way he leaves. Wouldn't make sense.

If I'm Boston I offer the 3rd pick in the draft now and hope putting a contending team around George is more important to him than being in LA. If I'm Indiana I take the 3rd pick because it's better than anything LA can or will offer.

That value is even a little high given the situation. Lakers probably force them to take Deng or Mozgove if they want Randle/Clarkson

He is from LA area, massive endorsements, wouldn't be so sure.

Exactly my point. Rather have George over Josh Jackson. Hell they can make a deal without the #3. Give them Bradley Crowder LAL pick and whatever money we need to put in as filler.

Prefers Lakers, but would he stay with the Clippers if they traded for him? Clippers don't have good assets, but if this is certain, the Clippers need to start trying to figure out how to make that work.

This has to be Paul or his agent. Indy wouldn't let this out.
Even for them, why would they do that? It actually makes it harder to trade him, not easier because Indiana loses leverage and then trading becomes a chore. Seems like it would be better to tell them in secret instead. The only idea I can think is that they want them to lose leverage so that the Lakers don't trade a lot of assets to get him because he wants to join the Lakers with them being as strong as possible as opposed to weakened from trading for him.

Thinking about it though at least PG is nice enough to tell the team hes not staying. Remember when Dwight took his option despite not wanting to stay and **** everything up

Pacers get Love and whatever pieces that make the deal work. Cavs rent PG and other pieces for a year or so if he does decide to bolt. If he leaves, space for the Cavs to rent another player or opens up room for a trade. Possible win, win, win for all involved.

Or, I could be complete wrong, too, lol. Going off the cuff and didn't even look at the payroll because I'm too lazy to look anything up; you're welcome.

Or, just send him to any team that has the best chance of defeating the Evil Empire, the GSWs :D

Absolutely nothing is for sure. But its also been leaked out that he wants to win more than anything. Boston would be able to give him a better shot at that plus more money if they can surround him with a max guy like Griffin or Hayward.

Celtics would likely want some sort of assurance that he will be staying to do this.

Perfect fit for the Clippers who have been needing a legit small forward forever.
