That part is obviously not true or else he wouldn't want to be joining a team that's been among the 5 worst in the league for the last several years.

He just wants to play close to home, play in a big market which can land him endorsements all while being "the man".

Similar to Melo when he wanted to go to the Knicks.

I remember all the posts of people laughing at the Lakers, and i would always say that they're going to reload faster than people think and the LA factor is still significant. The Lakers will never be down for too long, that's just how it is.

Now even with PG they aren't instant contenders, and they still have some awful contracts on the books (Mozgov/Deng) but they have a much better longterm outlook than people think.

The Lakers certainly should NOT move #2, but it isn't unreasonable to send Clarkson and/or Randle for PG13 this year.

The can just stretch either Deng or Mozgov to create the necessary room if they can't make a deal elsewhere. Creating the needed space really is a non issue.

And they have like no picks, right? They'll have to attatch a guy like Russell or send out a 2023 pick or something ridiculous like that

They can trade their pick this season and also give another team the option to take their pick next season if it's higher than that team's pick.

Meh if he wants to win, it isn't with us he should be signing. We are still a few years away.

Probably 25. You'd have to believe he wants his number retired next to Kobe's.

They would need to either eat into their cap space (no Hayward) or trade both Bradley and Crowder. It isn't just picks for Boston.

If I'm the Pacers I shop him for the best deal and take it before the end of the draft. No reason to drag this out and let his value continue to fall.

Do you take that over nothing at all?

That value is even a little high given the situation. Lakers probably force them to take Deng or Mozgove if they want Randle/Clarkson

If I am Boston I would do #3 for pg and #18

I mean we're only 4 years removed from the playoffs and we've drafted pretty decently since then. Can't say that about alot of teams in the lottery...

Wojo says everyone's going to the lakers. Still don't believe it why would he want to lose it's not like he's early in his career.

If true at least he told them though. Whoever leaked it should be named and shamed so they don't get another job in the NBA again.
