Have to trade him for whatever they can get.

How does stuff like this get out? How can teams not keep this stuff quiet at least for a little time so that they can quickly make a trade?
Prefers Lakers, but would he stay with the Clippers if they traded for him? Clippers don't have good assets, but if this is certain, the Clippers need to start trying to figure out how to make that work.

George for Love?
All the backtracking over the "superteam" condemnation would be pretty amusing.

I'm laughing at all those people who claimed that the "PG to LA" rumors were bs. The NBA has so many leaks when there is smoke there is fire. I do hope IND can get a good package for him (although its doubtful) just because their team doesn't have much in terms of young talent past Turner and Robinson

This has to be Paul or his agent. Indy wouldn't let this out.

I'm assuming its not the team, but George's people purposely leaking this, to try to force the Pacers' hand. Obviously Indiana doesn't want others to know George is out the door, it only weakens their leverage, but for George it helps to possibly force a trade a year early.

Let's say the Lakers offer Randle/Clarkson.
Do you take that over nothing at all?

And they need to do it now. The longer they wait, the less they'll get.
That's like a virtual kick in the ballz to Indiana.

Yet another case of teams sitting on stars too long, now i doubt indy gets anything worthwhile for him and if im the lakers i might offer randle and clarkson but nothing more. Indy screwed themselves just like Sacramento did with boogie

i wouldn't even offer that if i was l.a. tbh
i guess there's a chance the pacers back up a truck full of money and george blinks next offseason. but this is a melo-to-ny situation all over again, it looks like. everyone knows where he's going. why make your team worse just to get him a little earlier?
