Almost everyone got then in their top 9 in the East.
They are good defensively(perhaps will be top 10 this year) but they have one of the worst offensive teams.

The East is an abortion. Late term.

Because the key to their offense had an injury-plagued junk season that was much much worse than his previous 2 or 3 years. And because they won 44 games two seasons ago with a slightly worse team, and because adding Bradley should only help.

People are saying that?

Our roster is better now then it was when we won 44 games two seasons ago and the east is worse now then it was when we won 44 games two seasons ago so the question is why can't we? What even is this thread like seriously would you be that surprised if the pistons won 38 games wtf?

OP has a short memory. They won 44 games two seasons ago with a worse roster. An injured Reggie last season really hurt the heavy PnR offense, and by all reports he is 100% again. The East has also since got worse in general. Call me a homer, but 45+ wins isn't outside the realms of possibility.

This is the kind of thread you bookmark and then re-surface in 9 months.

Usually when a team wins 44 games people might expect them to win 38 with basically the same roster.

Even so I haven't heard anyone say this.

They may have the worse Forward line-up in the league.

38 is not exactly setting the bar high. Add in a better roster and a worse east and 38 wins should be doable without much hassle.

Is Jackson that bad, or was he just playing hurt last year?

Though even if he is that bad they could improve a couple games just from an easier schedule and/or random bounces.

On paper, the Pistons are playoff-bound but for that guys like Drummond or Jackson have to be healthy and step their game up.

They were 37 wins last year with a hobbled pg I would set their over under at 41.

You make it like the Pistons are coming off of a 15-win season and people are projecting some huge leap. They've won 44 and 37 games the last 2 years. Reggie Jackson missed 30 games last year and they just acquired Avery Bradley, who has proven to be a pretty good offensive player and one of the best perimeter defenders in the game for peanuts.

Do you really think a lineup of Reggie Jackson-Avery Bradley-Tobias Harris-Jon Leuer-Andre Drummond can't win 38+ in the East? Why would that be surprising? They'll probably finish around .500, give or take a couple of games.
