My friend is the same. He's a Jays fan but is also a Dodgers "fan". I don't like it because it seems that he's only an LAD fan when Toronto isn't winning.

Not sure if it's the same for you but it's just not a common practice for the die-hards.

I like my own teams, I just think being a die hard fan doesn't give me reason to knock a casual fan or someone who likes multiple teams. At the end of the day it doesn't ruin my quality of life

That's fine, no one has said otherwise.

It's just that those who choose to stick to one team are the ones who don't really have anything else to fall back on. Therefore they're more experienced with going through the thick and thin of their beloved team.

Die-hards will always knock multi-team fans because of that and that is quite fair, imo.

The Artest put back in the 2010 WCF game 5. Never watched the replay, never will. Jason Richardson banks in a 3 to complete the amazing comeback and I just want time to stop right there.

In the same series after the game 6 loss, Steve Nash crying in the locker room.

Game 7 in 2013 playoffs against the Bulls, we were up by double digits and CJ Watson stole the ball and missed a wide open fast break dunk ! Went all down hill from here *crying face*

Game 7 NBA WC Finals 2000. 8 year old boy in San Diego surrounded by Laker fans with my dad wearing a shirt that said "Beat LA." Traumatic. Game is still on highlight reels all the time.

Every Hawk loss against Lebron James in the playoffs. 0-12 against LeBron in the playoffs, with each loss being a damn blowout. Absolutely deflating to see your favorite team just get whooped by LeBron every. single. time.

In fact I can only think of one game off the top of my head where we actually had a chance to win against him

Game 6 Hou at LAC
- I was working for the Clippers, so I was there and have access to everywhere in the arena. We all clocked out towards the end of the 3rd quarter. As we departed, everyone told each other "See y'all game 3 against GSW" and everyone was so happy that we were going to go to the WCF that instead of leaving, we stayed to celebrate even though it was a blowout. We were up 20 at the time. We go down to the tunnel to watch the 4th quarter and that was the most heartbreaking moment in my life in regards to sports. There's more to the story but overall just sad. We were never the same after Game 6. The CP3 era ended that 4th quarter. Need it's own 30for30.

Ending of game 5 against OKC 2014
- Should of been up 3-2 against OKC with 2 chances to win one more game and instead complete chaos happens and CP does the most uncharacteristic nutjob I've ever seen. Never seen anything like it. Heartbreaking.

-Memphis, 2013 playoffs
Blake Griffin essentially breaking his ankle in PRACTICE in the middle of the first round. Didn't win another game.

-CP and Blake game 4 in portland
That one night in portland. Season ending injuries to both your franchise players in the middle of a damn playoff series. I was numb to the pain by this point though.

- We won this game, but my god...your star PG pulling his hamstring in the middle of a GAME 7. Went on to affect them the next series...

For me it was the 2004 NBA Finals, game 3. It was at about half time when I came to the bitter conclusion that the Lakers were not going to win that series.

I still get shook when I hear "D-E-T-R-O-I-T Basketball"

Magic's "junior, junior skyhook", after the Lakers only got the ball due to a botched call by the ref, which in turn only could have happened due to a missed FT.

Honestly, I enjoyed that performance. Raptors were a lottery team... Probably felt a lot worse to have Devin Booker score 70 on you.
