Trade between Warriors and Pelicans

Pelicans Get: Klay Thompson & Draymond Green

Warriors Get: Antony Davis & A.Ajanca

Looks solid to me you get two great players back in Klay and Green that's way more than most teams get back for losing a star player.

Warriors also get better by adding Davis to Durant and Curry and Ajanca as the back up center.

It would be a good trade for the Pelicans, but bad for the Warriors. Ok, its AD, but the Warriors are giving up two center pieces of their roster and even though AD is a great player, I don't think it would be a huge upgrade considering the fact that the Warriors gave up Thompson and Draymond.

GSW does not get better. Pels with Cousins, Green, Thompson, and Holiday would be much improved.

Warriors both wouldn't do this(for obvious reasons) and wouldn't get better.

The sum total of Klay and Dray is more than AD alone and this shouldn't at all be controversial.

Let's say Klay decides he wants to be the man on a team and is one foot out the door. So GSW must trade him for value. In that case this is probably the best trade they can do.

You wont get fair value if a star wants out. Yeah, that leaks out easily

That is just the truth, really. Does AD have the potential to worth more than those two? I guess, but he is not there yet, and not just because of his health issues. If he puts it all together and becomes this KG/Dirk hybrid, then yes, he would probably be more impactful, but he is very far from that level at the moment.

Curry,KD,And Davis would be a great big 3 and imo would be better than Miami big 3 when Lebron was winning titles in Miami and I still believe Warriors will still be the favs to win the title it don't really hurt them at all.

They wouldnt do it now, obviously, but in 2 years, when theyre forced to decide between Klay/Dray or pay stupid tax money on 4 supermax contracts, I'm sure they'd be open to consolidating them.

If I'm the Warriors I trade Durant before Draymond.

And doubly so considering the guy they're getting back is an offense-first player.

AD still has 3+1 years left on his contract, he's not getting traded. People area acting likes hes going to be a FA next summer or something.

Well in this scenario Davis is saying he wants out too, so that kind of negates that.

You'd be closer to a realistic deal just Klay for AD with Warriors adding some small pieces. AD isn't getting traded though. If anything, NOP will be looking to move Cousins if things go south.

Yeah I agree GS says no. No Green means all the playmaking falls on Curry. He's solid there, and KD would help a good bit, but losing Draymond would hurt and that's not counting Thompson defense and his shooting. Warrirors take a nice step backwards with this trade.
