You forgot to put "i said it" next to the Wolves.

Gotta pick the spurs in that group.
While I dont love them, I think the Rockets likely fall in there somewhere.
While their last season surprised me, adding Tatum and Hayward should probably keep the celtics in this conversation.
Cavs still have Lebron James, right?
Outside of that I think its a crapshoot. OKC/MN have the biggest stars out of the rest, but theres plenty of dark horse type teams that could outperform either of them.

Re: Top 5 Non-Warriors Teams heading into the season
Not putting the Cavs in there until I see what happenes with Kyrie.
I'm assuming this is best based on best regular season record at the end of the season and not something debatable with east vs west? Leaving out the Cavs...
Rockets
Celtics
Spurs
Thunder
Raptors (homer pick)
Cavs make a decent deal, one of the bottom 2 drops out, likely Raptors.
Too many teams in the east got so bad that it has to show up in the standings.

OKC lost 3 starters and replaced them with Paul George and Patrick Patterson and people have catapulted them into top 5 in the league?
I guess we're officially over the "OKC is full of scrubs" narrative.
My five:
Houston
Cleveland (depending)
San Antonio
Boston
Was/OKC

In that order. That being said I feel the Spurs are such a default answer. The NBA is weak at the top with a lot of decent teams hovering around the middle ground. I guess thats what happens when 1 team gets 4 top 20 players and many of the best ring chasers.

Im sorry? They lost 2 starters... Oladipo and Sabonis for 66 games and Gibson for 16... They replaced those 2 guys with Patterson/George. Id say thats a huge improvement.
Gibson was only there for 23 games so hard to count him as a huge loss. Dipo never fit well with Russ.
Also you are missing the bigger picture, Utah lost Hayward and the Clippers lost Paul. Both those guys went to teams that were already in the top 5... Meaning that no other team jumped above them and the 2 teams directly in front of them got weaker. They finished 4 games behind Utah and the Clippers, you don't think losing Paul/Hayward while gaining George makes that 4 game difference and more honestly?
