I can't believe Melo continues to be this stupid. He blinked first and gave the Knicks more leverage, perhaps forcing the Rockets to give more players in the trade. Hmm, gutting the depth of a team you're going to. Why does that sound so familiar? What's so hard about waiting it out until Monday morning or something? How has he not learned how this works yet? He blinked last time, and he did it again even though he's come this far...

Give all your defense away for another defenseless scorer. You guys don't get it, do you?

That's a dumb trade. We neee IT to beat the warriors.

Warriors would have Klay guard IT and IT would have to guard either Klay or Curry. Think about how that plays out.

With IT destroying klay and curry killing IT like he did Kyrie?

IT is way quicker and better at getting to the bucket than Kyrie. Klays to big.

lol You Cavs fans quickly forget. Watch the 2016 Finals again. IT won't be doing all of that; I guarantee you. And he won't be able to guard Curry like Kyrie did even if he tried. And if he can't guard Curry, which big man is he going to guard??

Melo was dumb enough to blink even before training camp...

I don't think there's any chance that the Knicks would've traded Melo for Anderson and a single pick. Not on Monday. Not at the deadline.

You guys don't get it.... Melo is listing impossible trade destinations. He's not going anywhere.

Knicks are not desperate to move Melo. Melo has an opt out clause next season. Worst case scenario we let him opt out and free of his salary. We don't want bad contracts.

2 teams is a possibility because they can give us something of value... OKC and PORT.

OKC - Kanter + Fergeson + Abrines + Singler + Huestis for Melo + Lee + Randle gets it done for me. No first needed.
or
Kanter + Ferg + Abrines (asking for Huestis or a first also) for Melo + Oquinn.

Or

Portland- Melo for Harkless, Leonard, Aminu or Ed Davis + a first or Swainagan.

Really the only two teams that make sense for the Knicks. Cleveland has nothing of value and neither does the Rockets. Melo will be a Blazer or a Thunder. I think the Thunder can offer the best package.

We don't want Kanter, so we don't view him as a positive asset in this deal. Singler is worthless also and will get cut.

If nobody want to pay up, then just hold him and let him expire .

Presti is great through the draft though. Don't underestimate how quickly a team can bounce back with a couple good drafts.

Good to know that Carmelo is willing to play with our CATS in a small market city.

Morey might as well add Zhou Qi to the table since we have competition.

Hello Brooklyn wrote:I wonder who the 2nd team is. My guess is the Clippers.

I don't think Melo would play in Portland.

Cavs should trade Thompson, Frye, 1st rounder (not BK) and be done with it.

This sounds good for both teams, TT sucked in the Finals anyways so if he's not going to be able to play well vs the KD Warriors then what good is he anyways?

IT/Rose
JR/Wade(?)
LeBron/Jae
Love/Melo
Maybe they can get O Quinn too? Otherwise get Hibbert or some scrub

Possibility for a IT/JR/LeBron/Melo/Love lineup and also one with Jae instead of JR.

One of the things that bothers me about the GB, one fan offers his opinion and the entire fanbase gets called out. Most of us are in agreement that IT isn't really going to help against the W's. While Kyrie wasn't interested in playing D most of the time, he is still much better against Klay or Curry just due to his being 6 inches taller than IT. That makes a huge difference against Shooters like curry and Klay and most of us Cavs fans are aware of that fact.

Wow. Just wow.

What Kyrie isn't great at getting to the hoop and it's ITs best strength.

:o :o :o

What in the hell are you watching? Kyrie is fantastic at getting to the hoop. Have you not watched any Cavs games despite being a Cavs fan? He may not be as quick as IT, but he makes up for it with his premier handles. And when he does get there, Kyrie is arguably one of the best finishers in the NBA. The only thing IT has on Kyrie is his ability to draw fouls when attacking inside

Most Cavs fans hope a deal can be worked out...with OKC.

Including Shump or Crowder simply does not make any make sense for Cleveland. If IT, Frye, Jefferson, and CLE's first gets it done - welcome Melo.

IF, and that's a big IF Cavs could pull of Melo for like TT, Frye or Shump, and non BKN 1st rd pick.

I wonder if Cavs would then strongly consider an all out attempt to add another star like Cousins with that Bkn first and either Shump or Frye and someone like Osman etc. I feel like if we get Melo then we should just go all out for this season.
