LeBron only plays in Cleveland due to the hometown element. I can't imagine him joining the Celtics, Boston is the most racist sports city in America.

Just this year alone, the racism from their fans has been a huge talking point in MLB and echoed across leagues. I can't imagine an outspoken Black man with LeBron's off-court goals joining the Celtics, it would go against everything he stands for.

Warriors are definitely no go. Lebron and Warriors players genuinely dislike each other. Celtics are a no go too. I think it's safe to say Kyrie doesn't want him there. That leaves the Rockets and Spurs.

The Rockets are intriguing because they're a great 3-point shooting team so they can really make use of Lebron's ability to collapse the defense. and with CP3 and Harden there, Lebron can finally stop yapping about the "lack of play makers" on his team.

The Spurs though are just as attractive. Lebron and Kawhi? They will wreck teams defensively with their ability to switch to anyone.

The salary cap is socialist... no doubt about that. I don't see the owners limiting how much they can charge for tickets, parking, broadcast rights, etc....

Meanwhile most clamor for "free market" in their main lines of business and tax breaks for investment....

Only an idiot would be of the notion that the NBA is a free market. It's a monopoly, plain and simple. No one has ever denied this. Players, like all other league personnel, are employees. If they don't like the rules, they're free to leave. No one forced them to go into such a fragile occupation. And no one feels sorry for them either.

They realize that. That's why they're able to negotiate for a great CBA (the players know that the league wouldn't exist without them, and that the franchise are essentially marketing the players rather than the team as the product; In other words, they're keenly aware that they are what gives a franchise its value.).
