Why is everyone disrespecting the Cavs?

Who is disrespecting the Cavs? Fans? Fans talk smack all the time, especially when a highly-regarded team is struggled. Just look at how people talk about OKC. It's completely normal to see fans talking smack when a team like that struggles. It also doesn't mean anything since the vast majority still expects the Cavs to reach the Finals.

Dunno why but they seem so incredibly unlikable this year. LeBron is non stop drama, and his yes men drone teammates have zero individuality.

Anyways, RS LeBron is putting in too many minutes. Cavs are getting by his sheer will alone right now, but father time is undefeated.

Cause they’ve playing badly, even their wins were kinda crappy. Lebron had to play 46 min to win today. Couple that with the fact that they got beat really badly last finals and that its not really the same team anymore...

Cant forget either that unlike the sixers, celtics and other young teams, this is probably their final year of being good. And nobody sees them beating the warriors + very little room for improvement so why really care ?

They’re still the 2nd best team in the league. Sure that depends on IT Health, but so every team in the league depends on their stars condition.

They are a historical elite offensive team and ppl should treat them like they deserve.

They're an easy target right now, just like they were in the 2nd half of last year. And IT hasn't proven himself in a Cavs uniform so right now is the best time for anyone with an anti-LeBron bent to try and convince people that LeBron's team is ruined.

This is a broken record, of course. We hear it every year. But LeBron James is still playing like LeBron James (his best season in 5 years) so he will again get the last laugh in the East.

They do have some glaring holes at the moment that need to be addressed with no real solutions in place. Their defense is obvious, having Thomas back doesn't solve that problem. How Thomas will fit in is still questionable. The fact that people are blowing off their poor start as " meh, it's the regular season" tells me fans are overly confident. James is playing forty minutes a night trying to keep this team together, Crowder looks nothing similar to when he was wearing Green, their are issues that can't just be solved with "rest".

I'm not even so sure how little effort they've given in previous seasons. Haven't they been a 50ish win regular season team? I never thought beating the cavs (as a raps fan) wasn't a big deal in past regular seasons.

funniest thing about how many people are dogging on us is just how bad we have played and still come back and win games in the 4th
against playoff teams but fail to get motivated even late against lottery teams.
It's not just that we are old and in deep preservation mode either, there are legitimate injuries and struggles with cohesion in certain line ups that need fixed. Lately we will do just enough to be within striking distance going into the 4th so we can be there at the end of games with a chance to win. It is the only way we can get motivated is to go full throttle in a comeback run .
I expect this continue for awhile as the injuries continue. Do I think it means we are irrelevant? not a chance in hell.
