I didn't watch The Amazing Race for maybe the first 20+ seasons. One year, I decided to watch it, and found it to be a somewhat interesting competition and teams of two race around the world where they have to figure out where to go fast in big cities in different countries and cultures across the world.

It requires many characteristics you might not expect such as improvisation, relating to people, performing unexpected strange challenges that are important in different countries/cultures. You cannot use cell phones or GPS so you have to use maps and be good at a lot of things.

I wonder if they are long time fans of the show. If so, they might be well equipped. If not, it will be tougher. You have to be smart because there are certain advantages and strategies you can use.

Anyway, it will be interesting and fun to see how they do. Hopefully they don't get eliminated quickly and can survive for a long time.

Never watched the show but I'll tune in for the Matrix. Seems like a cool concept.

Cedric Ceballos won't need a GPS when he can finish this race blindfolded.

Are Marion and Ceballos close or did they just want two basketball players interested?

Won't help when Marion has no clue which way to go however.

I watched and kinda liked the first handful of seasons but season after season it just became more and more embarrassing and annoying to watch hyperactive and rude Americans abroad so I stopped. The format didn't have any progress either, which is kind of common with reality-tv.

Used to like the show but then it got repeatitive and predictable.

Well they both played for the Suns albeit at different times, but they did play against each other early in their careers and then Ceballos later worked for the Suns while Marion played for them.

Ceballos is the only player I've met. It was around the time we had Barkley, when I was like 11 or 12. Seemed like a nice guy. Never watched the show but I hope they do well.

That show usually ends up with the team members screaming at each other because of bad directions when they're trying to catch a cab to find some obscure cultural activity.

So my hope is that they are at each other's throats, but kicking azz at the same time.

They started off well last week on the first leg, but the Matrix missing a small detail cost him a lot of time...they tried to make it up and it was the closest finish ever...and ohhh Ceballos...did you cost them the race???

I watched for a few seasons, I liked when Boston Rob from Survivor came on to that show. I'm not sure if this is enough to get me to tune in again but it's a well made show.

Yeah, Boston Rob brought new strategies, like incurring penalties and not doing pitstops on purpose. It's not as good as Survivor, but it can be pretty fun to watch. Just seeing the different cultures and crazy tasks they have to do.

They're still on. Yesterday was only the second episode. They did rather well this week.

They had two Harlem Globetrotters on a few seasons ago and they were a popular team. They are probably trying to recapture that formula.
