Pippen on First Take about Jordan vs Lebron

Post#1 » by Lauri_Legend » Thu Dec 14, 2017 6:55 pm

I'm not surprised at all that Pippen loves Lebron. Their games were so similar, so I'm sure he takes pride in watching Lebron dominate all the categories. I'm surprised though how he said Lebron is statistically better but then chooses Jordan over Lebron in the GOAT debate to keep his relationship with Jordan and keep his reputation up with Chicago fans.

He's right. When you consider the talent and coaching MJ had around him, as well as the significantly weaker opposition in the Finals, I think it's clear the say LeBron has definitely surpassed MJ in stats as well as overall standing.

The argument will end the same every time. MJ fans will point to his 6 rings and unblemished Finals record, and cite things like "closing" ability. LBJ fans will point to his numbers, longevity, overall dominance on the court. Rinse and repeat.

Both are great, both very different players in terms of style, both right up there in the all time top 5-10 players no matter your personal bias.

I really don't know what to say about that, 3 Michael Jordan's against 3 Lebron James's in a game of 3 on 3 I believe anyone with common sense would agree 3 Lebron's is more lethal.
We have to wait to see what Lebron does before he retires, it's how he gets his remaining rings that will factor his place in Mt.Rushmore with MJ,Magic,Jabbar, and Wilt. From the looks of it Joel Embiid has the ability to put away Lebron and Curry's legacies, I've never seen anything like the man he is Shaquille O'Neal and Kevin Garnett in one.

Jordan didn't go 3/8 in the finals.

In my opinion. I believe Lebron has surpassed Mike.

comma after opinion instead of opinion. its a comma splice or run on sentence if I left it as is.

You do realize he could have won more rings if he didn't retire after winning the championship in 98? If Lebron wants to be crowned GOAT he has to win more than 3 rings.

Jordan is a better closer. Lebron is the better player. You decide which one you want.
