I mentioned this in a game thread a while back and an avid euro basketball watcher mentioned something about his height being inaccurate and it being closer to ~7'4'' without shoes.

The most striking thing about Boban to people that don't get a chance to watch him much is that he's very skilled. Excellent FT shooter, great touch around the basket and solid back to the basket post game.

No, it is widely believed that Boban is taller than 7'3 with shoes. He is more like a 7'4 player.

If he's on my team I'm playing him 25 minutes, I don't care.

height isn't everything.

wingspan matters too.

Boban was measured at Eurocamp in 2009. He's 7'2.25" w/o shoes, with a 7'8" wingspan and 9'7" standing reach. He was in his 20s at the time, so he probably hasn't grown any taller since then.

I'm going to guess if you're over 7 foot 2 without shoes your nba height could be listed at 7 foot 4 especially if you round up.

He would be a 20/10 gyu right now if he got minutes.

I feel like the shorter guys (by NBA standards) get their height exaggerated, but for the really tall guys it gets a little bit downplayed.
I don't know what the point of that would be necessarily, and I can't say I have any evidence of it, but it seems to be the case to me just from observation.

He had 8 points and 7 rebounds in only 8 minutes tonight btw.
I feel like he could be a rotation player in the league but teams just don't want to adjust their schemes to him because there is only one player like him in the league and durability is a concern.
I'd love to see it though. Get him to New Orleans to backup Davis and Cousins! We'll call their front court rotation: Rampage!!!

The most impressive thing about Boban to me is that he's pretty fluid and mobile guy for his height. No he's not fluid and mobile in general, but a guy that massive shouldn't be moving the way he is. He moves better than Brad Miller.

Unfortunately he's too slow in today's NBA.

He's definitely more like 7'5"+ in shoes.

Maybe they will play him next season? Jordan might not come back.
