We started the year first in the West and first in some of the power rankings, we even beat Houston and Golden State. We have legitimate injuries.

They spent money, they just spent it poorly and on too many older, injury prone players. A lot of people picked the Grizz to make the playoffs this season.

If Fizdale was there still they would have a better record. This year has been a disgrace.

I would make the same argument but with Dave Joerger. The Grizz have been on a sad downward spiral.

Definitely. Joerger wanted out for a while.

I see the Grizz players and coaches have not an ounce of dignity left. How can we top a 19 game losing streak, they thought. "Why don't we lose by the biggest margin in two decades?! Let us set a new mark of futility, and pave the way for the future!"

I sincerely hope they drop out of the top 3.

Just because we happened to have a lot of our vets get injured? And also happened to have the worst record in the league because our FO misspent the payroll? All I see are a bunch of fans of other teams whining they don’t have the biggest shot at the 1st pick.

Grizzlies actually started the season out pretty well, but they went into a massive tailspin with the injuries and Fizdale getting the ax.

Meh. That was just their 4th win in 12 games and all of them against tanking teams.

They’re in no man’s land, not good enough for the playoffs and not bad enough to tank.

I kind of fee like these types of games would occur more if the winning team cared of margin of victory. I think teams like the Warriors/Rockets would destroy bottom-tier teams by 40+ on regular basis if they tried hard for 48 minutes.

That’d be interesting if seeding was based on point differential

Top players getting injured and panic-firing a good coach can ravage any team. Luckily we're terrible enough to get a top pick! Young guys getting some real burn in Memphis for the first time in years has also been a nice bonus.

I feel you man. But they need a high pick. They can’t attract big FAs. Furthermore if they draft a C like Ayton, Gasol will be expendable perhaps for draft picks or some younger talent.

It's not Adam's fault management decided to do a horrendous job managing team personnel payroll and fire the coach. He's also not at fault for injuries decimating the team.

It doesn't have to be 'his fault' for it to be an embarrassment for him and the league.

The embarrassment falls solely on management, IMO. Unfortunately, it's not Adam's job to ensure every front office doesn't suck.

That's just crazy. Someone should tell Memphis that they don't get 4 extra loses for getting blown out 4x's over. If the Grizzles didn't start at least 2 fights before the end they should be fined.

We basically have a D-League lineup out there. Not even Popovich can save my sorry-ass team right now. Literally swear lots of people are talking out of their asses without knowing the context Memphis is in.
