I'm not a fan of fining players for social media use either, but plenty of people have been disciplined or fired for their social media habits in all sorts of professions. If you're seen as a representative of a company they want you to represent their brand well. This isn't a particularly unique or cruel thing that the NBA did is all I'm saying.

I think it's ridiculous in any aspect. Employers need to realize there is a boundary between work life and a personal life. Maybe if all these companies would stop acting like they're perfect the issue wouldn't be so bad. I guess in today's world where everyone gets offended by everything they have to keep that sort of stance. It's a problem with today's society and I think it's pathetic.
