If Cavs win, would you fire Lue?

Lue has been trash all season and even worse in the playoffs. His line-ups and rotations have been mind-numbingly bad. His defensive set up isn't solid and his offence requires LeBron balling out of his mind - they are worthless without him.

It may be drastic, but I'd just let Larry Drew take over. The team played much better when Lue was out and they looked semi-organised and knew what they were doing. I think Drew commands more respect than Lue as well. It may also serve as a mental shock and gives room for new plans - away from Lue's which seem to exclude guys like Zizic and Osman who could actually be of use, and overplaying guys like Hill and Green who at best are par and don't bring anything special against the opposition.

What do y'all think?

Nah, if the Pacers win he should be fired right after the game. That's not the question

why? that's the way Lebron prefers his coaches.

shut up and let him do what Queen James wants to do. still boggles my mind people think someone with his ego would want a coach like Pop

I like how Lue was like, "we don't need to make any adjustments" right after they got wrecked on game 1. Like come on bro.

When the Warriors make their runs in the finals against the Cavs, Lue sits there like a dumbass without any emotions or clue about anything on the court.

Korver had a pre game interview for game 2 and he said something along the lines of "not many major changes in terms of strategy" for the upcoming game and he had the most resigned look on his face. Was kinda sad/funny.

I think the Cavs are in holding pattern until James makes his decision. If he stays and wants somebody different then you get somebody different. If he leaves, you might as well keep Lue at least for next season because the main coaches will be settled and nobody worth their salt will come in until the Cavs set a direction. Might as well wait until the next offseason to do a full coaching search in earnest.

He should have been fired after last season. He’s not a good coach - I’m not sure how LeBron doesn’t see this, but he must be protecting him. Plus they were doing better when Larry Drew was coaching.

The Cavs only have 5 players on their roster now, that were on last year's championship roster. Major overhaul during the off-season and another during the season.

Fire him if they win? That's crazy.

The only way he doesn't get fired is if the Cavs go back to the finals, which aint looking to likely given the problems they are having adjusting to the playoff intensity and the lack of solid rotation movement.

I can't think of a single scenario where he keeps his job, honestly.

No bud. They need someone who can start developing players like Cedi and the 8th pick. They can still next year but they need to focus on developing young guys.

That's why the last two times LeBron played Pop and Stevens in the playoffs he couldn't take their balls out of his mouth every time he was asked about their coaching prowess during interviews. Or why he rolled hard to the rim every opportunity he got screening for Delly or IT when he was productive his first two games back. Still boggles my mind people think the smartest player of his generation doesn't want to get fed easy baskets by competent playmakers.

You must be one of those guys who think if David Stern didn't "basketball reasons" the CP3 Trade Kobe would've dominated the ball every possession and reduced him to a spot up shooter. Great players want easy scoring opportunities just as much as role players do

With Lebron, a coach is there if he wants him there. And vice versa. Will be the same whereever he goes next.
