I hope philly can get 1 win. Not that I think they can come back and win, but I just want an extended series. Dont want too big of breaks between rounds. Same with the raptors against the cavs. Just win ONE somehow.

Best case scenario is rest Brown in game 4 and win game 4 o 5. It's a bit risky do these things because you never know, so maybe celtics will not do it.

Embiid isn’t ready to handle the 40 min workload having to work hard on both offense and defense. Falling into Stevens trap game planning. He simply can’t take over a game for long stretches.

Sixers better off using embiid has a decoy. Half hearted post up and running ball screens off embiid. He should just focus on defense. Save his offense for when it’s needed. That’s the only way sixers can win. Embiid has been very inefficient on offense the last 2 games.

Also like to see more Justin Anderson replacing Covington. If Covington can’t get enough offense. Justin Anderson may be a better on ball defender on Tatum. He’s a lot more physical than Covington

Other than that. Just comes down to execution. Dumb turnovers down the stretch cost them game 3. Game 2 was lost the last 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter when sixers had the game under control.

I would like to think the Sixers will make adjustments and win at least the next game but I don't have a lot of confidence in Brett Brown. He hasn't shown anything in this series to suggest he is even a decent coach. Prunty did a better job coaching and making adjustments and that dude doesn't have a job now.

Brett Brown is getting a bad rap, that team overachieved, no he is not Brad Stevens, but outside of Popavich not many are on that level. The Celtics have several multi dimensional players, guys like Tatum and Horford and Brown they can kill you in so many different ways. Embiid is really the only multidimesnional threat on the 76ers, simmons needs to get close to the bucket, covington almost never drives JJ can shoot but can't creat, but the team is built around 1 trick ponies who are good at what they do. In a few years Simmons will learn to shoot and they will be a really good team, fultz will probably end up good too, they are not ready yet....Brown took a roster that won 38 games the last 2 seasons combined and won over 50, that is pretty darn good, he should not be getting the bad treatment he has just becuase he maximized the talent that is there and that talent is limited at the moment.

I think the 76ers come out on fire and take game 4, then Celts finish it at home in 5.

But I thought Simmons was LeBron and Embiid was already an all-time great Hall-of-Famer.

We thought the same here for game 3 but it hasn’t changed. Don’t think game 4 will be any different lol. I just hope he uses this as a learning experience just like this team, he’s been outcoached badly in this series.

In 7 games against us Simmons is -92.
Good assessment:

I had Philly in six, clearly I underestimated the Celtics’ advantages in size and athleticism on the wing.

But I also never expected Tatum to be so superior to Simmons in this series. If Tatum and Simmons swapped teams, Philly would be up 2-1 right now. The conventional wisdom that Simmons is a better prospect than Tatum is dead, dead as a doorknob.

Embiid is the real deal. If he stays healthy. He will be all time great.

Simmons cannot be all time great until he developed a jumper or at least a real post up game. He’s basically a bigger version 6 foot 10 version of R Rondo. Which is still very good. But not all time great. I have never need someone so reluctant to take even 15 foot jumper. Even rondo or Ricky Rubio. Both horrendous jump shooting point guard take the open jumper occasionally. Simmons doesn’t take the open jumper and only will take a shot outside of 10 feet of shot clock is winding down.

I don't think anybody thought if they retired today, they are going to be inducted into the NBA hall of fame.

But it's naive if you don't think that if they were to continue on their current trajectory and stay healthy that they have the potential. It's a projection. Just like your fellow fans are making projections about Jayson Tatum being a top 10 player or coming on our board and saying "he's a superstar. not just a star." If he gets clowned by the Cavs in the next round in 4 games, I will not be trumpeting some garbage about how "Oh I thought Tatum was the next superstar in the NBA and already a top 10 player in the league." But if I did, I would sound pretty lame...

So you can try to make some cute passive aggressive comments all you want and revel in being up 3-0, but that doesn't change the fact that potential is still there and there will be many more battles moving forward between our teams.

i like how one series always has every thing set in stone.

like careers are being decided off of one series for careers JUST starting.

This is how Jerome James happens people.

It’s pretty funny all these people taking about the sixers overachieving now when before the Celtics couldn’t beat them even if our best two players were healthy. Not that it’s 100% over but it’s just about.
