Pete Maravich isn't in this comparison because of his final season with the Celtics.

T-mac got to the conference finals with my Hawks that one year. He wasn't productive, but was on the active roster nonetheless.

I don't know if he's the best, but Blake immediately comes to mind

TMAC was on the Hawks in 2011-2012 when they didn't make it out of the first round. He was retired when they made the conference finals in 2015. Are you sure they are "your hawks?"

The best player in the NBA who hasn't made it past the second round is Anthony Davis. I don't know if the second round stigma applies to him though. Chris Paul has been in the nba since 05, the brow just since 2012. This is a big moment for CP3 because he is 33 and never got out. The Brow is just 25 and will have many chances and opportunities.

Age is one reason I always laughed when people brought up; "Lebron hasn't won a championship before 2012." He won his first at 27. That is pretty standard and earlier than Shaq or MJ.

I stand corrected and yes, ever since I started following basketball in 1987 they have been "my Hawks" I'ts just not something I base my life around.

Anthony Davis

Blake Griffin was 3-1 up in the same team as CP3, had a big lead in the 4th of Game 6 and blew it, so he's probably the guy who has come closest to the conference finals without making them.

Yao? Does it count if the player is injured but on the team?

WCF with the Suns. Lost to the Spurs in that series they probably should have won had Amare not been suspended.

It was a weird signing. They did it basically at the last moment:

https://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/tracy-mcgrady-signs-with-san-antonio-spurs-041713

See here also: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2013/08/26/tracy-mcgrady-retires-retirement-career-houston-rockets-orlando-magic-san-antonio-spurs/2699479/

The quote:

McGrady, 34, announced his retirement Monday morning on ESPN's First Take. A seven-time All-Star, McGrady last played with the San Antonio Spurs, contributing minor minutes during the team's postseason run to a Western Conference championship after signing late in the season.

Wow. That was so cheap that BBR won't even acknowledge it

If you look at his "playoffs per game" it actually shows up

I honestly cannot even remember him playing. I mean, I remember seeing him in a Spurs uniform. But I cannot actually remember him playing as a Spur.
