Obviously I was exaggerating and wouldn't propose that he never smiles.

But if you think he's the same player that he was in Minnesota you are mistaken.

He played with energy and confidence in Minnesota. Today he looks tentative and spends more time on the perimeter.

Yes. Been saying it for years. Guys like Love and David Lee give away more then they add....horrible defensively....relatively slow....

If you saw him play in Minnesota vs. Today, it's two very different people. And he hasn't improved.

Having a panic attack has nothing to do with a general change in mood/style of play. Unless his panic attack caused him to feel worse in general and become more cautious/anxious. But panic attacks are by definition acute, not ongoing, anxiety.

It really depends how he plays. Some games Love just doesn't bring much and goes 4-13 with 8 reb and 1 ast while playing bad defense. Other games he shoots it well and might go for 28/14/4 while going like 5-6 from 3 and being more active on defense. That's been the problem with Love in his years in Cleveland. He's just very inconsistent from game to game.

Wade “wasn’t that good”

Love is a “role player”
Ray was “trash”
Korver is “irrelevant”.

I was just thinking about this then low & behold, I see this thread.

It never ends.

And as a Celtics fan, I'm especially seeing it with Kyrie . Kyrie's thrived with the Celtics before being hurt, but now that the Celtics got this far in the playoffs without him, people wanna pretend Kyrie wasn't that good. I'll tell you this much, I'm done "pretending" to take that bull if the C's can't beat the Cavs possibly without Kevin Love at home.

You really believe Love played with more enjoyment being the proverbial workhorse for a losing franchise? I'm fairly confident in saying he has enjoyed playing for an annual contender more.

He may have enjoyed being "the man". His individual numbers and shot attempts have obviously taken a huge hit since he came to Cleveland (why did Kyrie prefer to go to Boston despite "playing for an annual contender"?)

I don't know why exactly it is (you'd have to get an in depth interview with him to find out), I'm just making the observation that he is a worse player now and doesn't play with the same energy.

Maybe it's injuries, but at 29 years old he should be in his prime. Instead he's averaging 14 pts on 39% shooting in the playoffs. And I don't mean this as a shot against Lebron, but if Lebron is a goat level facilitator and makes his teammates better...Love should be thriving.

Love is a net negative imo. All teams just go at him in the playoffs almost every single possession.

Can't understand why people assume he is a terrible defender . He is not a great rim protector , has limited positioning occasionally but overall he is excellent at awareness and cutting off angles etc. Yes teams target him because it's better than going at Lebron or Nance or Thompson etc doesn't equate to poor defense.

Kyrie never needed Lebron’s help to get his own. This season showed that he’s atleast the same & arguably better without Lebron.

By "rim protector" do you mean Tristan Thompson? Cause he's no rim protector.

With his two back surgery’s that’s pretty much big reason for his decline.

I'm talking about the opposing team's rim protector. Like Kevin Love at centre would drag Rudy Gobert out of the paint with the threat of his 3 point shooting for example.

Trade him to Detroit for Blake Griffin. Who says no?
