Yes, it's a non-story. There was never a circumstance under which he wasn't going to opt-out. Means nothing as far as a decision even to leave Cleveland goes.

If true, this presently puts LAL, PHI, CLE as the immediate destinations since LAL/PHI got the available cap space after renouncing some guys and CLE has bird rights.

BOS, SAS, HOU have to get REAL creative to clear the necessary space and that's pretty much gutting their teams to even be in the convo for him to sign a 4yr deal.

Yea, it's gonna come down to LAL or CLE at the end of the day.

Well, for what it's worth Chris Paul said he'd opt out last year on the 25th, then opted in and was traded 3 days later. Lebron could still opt in and trade with Houston or whoever but after the 29th then it pretty much looks dead because of the sign and trade rules.

LeBron = the NBA. Nothing he does could shock me

Unless he joins New Orleans

best way for him to join Houston is actually opt-in and trade like CP3 did last year
