Rarely have I heard such a range of comparisons, PG, SG, SF/PF, playmaker, go-to scorer, bench player, HOFer... even, rarest of all, (slightly) white and black! When all is said and done, who will have been the best match?

It's hard to look back when he hasn't been in an actual NBA game

He is very similar to Ingles in a way, but his scoring rate should be much higher.

I've always thought Peja Stojakovic was his best NBA comparison. That's why I'm so surprised Vlade would pass on him. He's just a much better passer.

The best one I've heard is James Harden in Gordon Hayward's body.

Because he is tall and white? He's a ballhandler with average shooting right now. That's not Peja

I would say these guys are the most similar to Luka :

James Harden, Evan Turner. Joe Ingles, Hedo Turkoglue.

Danillo Gallinari with a bit better playmaking abilities

All the white guy comparisons...

Some of these are awful, Dirk and Peja? I know they're all white Europeans but come on, at least make an effort.
Most common comps I see are Harden and Manu and I sort of agree, also young Joe Johnson isn't bad.

If I'm thinking outside the box (I know this will be ridiculed), I can see some of Penny Hardaway/Grant Hill - Playmakers with great BBIQ playing the 1-3.
Yes, Hill and Penny were much better athletes but I feel what made them special was their mind more than their bodies and Doncic gives me that same feeling.

Vision, passing ability and shooting, it's not a perfect comp but the similarities are there.

Not even close. Doncic is not a scorer or a pure shooter. He is a facilitator.

Yes, I also heard Manu’s game and competitive personality with Gordon Hayward body. He’s an all around bb player. Can play with and off the ball and have incredible talent to create offense.

He might get James Harden comparison cause he has copied some moves from him, like the step back three.
