Won't be a competition. Young will have the biggest role and he will put up numbers.

His team will be terrible though and people will stop paying attention, not sure if that really matters for ROY unless it's a strong class.
I'd put a lot of money on Doncic winning it, by far the best situation and probably the most NBA ready guy.

My sleeper pick is Wendell Carter Jr. He is also NBA ready like Doncic (who should be the fav).

Young, Bagley and Doncic are my 3 early favorites for it.

I say Doncic. I'm a little biased though. I just think the situation and NBA readiness is there. I also went into the draft thinking he was the best player.

Young gonna put up 22 points on like 39% shooting which should be enough.

How exactly is Carter "more" NBA ready than every other incoming Rookie?

My money is on a race between Bagley and Doncic.
This was a really deep draft though. Good chance we have some later picks usurping the competition.

I wonder if this thread will be as heated as last season. That was a great thread.

I would have gone with Mitchell. But apparently Simmons won it. Sophomore wins ROY.

If a player is drafted the year before they shouldn't be allowed to win ROY. Donovan Mitchell got robbed.

Just FYI. I’ve heard more than one Kings player say Giles will win it. Might be good odds in Vegas. LOL

I know they're petty but I enjoy the ben Simmons jokes. Imagine if embiid played more than 30 games in 16-17 and won ROY as a 3rd year player. Maybe the backlash wouldn't have been so bad since his only competition was malcom freaking brogdon (who kinda ironically was a 24yo ROY himself).
