The Blazers and Lakers (Hart) were the 2 teams still playing 1st rounders from last year's draft which is why they are in the Finals tbh.

Absolutely. Memphis would’ve easily won last night but they rested JJJ, Rabb, Selden, and D Brooks hasn’t played all summer

People ripping on the lakers and blazers like they should be sitting these guys. Summer league is for 2 things, player development and for players to try and prove they belong or still belong in the NBA. With portland you got young guys like layman, Collins, Trent, swanigan, and simons who didn't play many minutes last year. Then you have guys like Baldwin Goodwin and Jenkins who don't have contracts and are trying to either stay or get back in the league. I guess I don't get it, are they supposed to sit these players because other teams aren't but playing their high picks? I don't see how that sounds fair to the players in all honesty.

With the lakers sure josh hart look so like a beast but the guy has very few NBA minutes under his belt. And there is no guarantee that svi or Caruso will get anything besides garbage minutes next year. I appreciate what these teams are doing and should be a competitive final. Also anybody who thinks Zach Collins is a bust because he's not offensively dominating summer league doesn't understand the game or only watches one side of the ball. He has literally shut down the paint and his defensive feel and rotations are something you don't see from many young bigs

1st Round- Bye for both teams.

2nd Round- Both teams with rest, play opponents on back end of a back-to-back.

3rd Round- Both teams with 2 days rest, play opponents on back end of a back-to-back.

How did they get favorable scheduling?

Are you really asking how? Or are you asking why?

Lakers didn't even play their two best rookies from last year (Ball and Kuzma, who is healthy and could have gone). Not sure how anyone could possibly complain. Hart is the only first round pick from last year playing.

Yeah...I'm not sure about Trae. Also, Melton has a case.

Trae Young has no business on 2nd team, let alone over Mitchell Robinson, Diallo, SGA, Hernangomez, and about 15-20 other guys.

I dk...F/G seems subjective when it comes to guys like Svi, Hart, etc. Regardless, lots of guards (SGA for sure), deserved it over Young.

I would have voted Robinson as well but its not like Trae Young had a bad summer performance.
The guy averaged 17 points and 6.75 assists per game on good 3point % and FT%.

The second team also had 3 bigs and one of those spot was going to Svi from Lakers.
I think they picked Trae as one of the better guards remaining. He was definitely superior to Diallo,
and slightly better than SGA.

Lol, in what world is:

17/7/1/1 steal on 38% shooting, better than 20/10/2 on 57% shooting, or 19/5/4/2 steals/1 block, on 46% shooting, and super defense???

And I believe Young led Summer League in turnovers as well...

Young is flashy, but will have difficulty leading a team to wins. His defense will stink, and his turnovers will be off the charts. Adding to that, he really doesn't shoot well (statistically % wise)...he just shoots a lot and with many long wild shots...some of which goes in and creates oohs and ahhs, but not winning basketball....just because one guy (Curry) has gotten away with taking lousy shots, its not going to be the new way to winning basketball.

I was referencing the rookie wing Diallo and not the 3rd year PF since the 2nd team already had 3 bigs.

As for Young vs SGA, its a close comparison to me but as a point guard, I value assists, FT plus 3 point % more than 2 extra ppg.

Young: .595 TS / .511 eFG on 38.7% from 3 and 87% FTs, 6.75 apg
SGA: .495 TS / .479 eFG on 25% from 3 and 63.6% FTs, 4.75 apg
