Bill Simmons thinks Adam Silver told the Lakers they couldn't sign PG

On his podcast yesterday Bill said half joking, half serious he think it's way too fishy PG didn't go play with LeBron in LA. He said what if Silver was tired of the Lakers shameless tampering and told them you're not signing him? As in, I'll ignore all this crap, but he's not coming to play for you. A stealth basketball reasons?

Wasn't there a quote from some reporter basically saying PG claimed if OKC puts a chink in Warriors armor then it's on him, but if he does it on the Lakers, then LeBron gets all the credit? Something along those lines? Sounds like he didn't want to play with LeBron.

This thread title is a lie. Should be locked. Listen to the podcast. He clearly says he doesn't believe it. It's more like his "daily random conspiracy theory." Chill.
Good topic, because it's an interesting theory, but the title is completely inaccurate.

Yea after listening to the podcast I have to say the title thread is misleading. Simmons makes it clear that this is just his wild conspiracy theory and he has no basis for it whatsoever. He even tells people not read it as an inside report and dons his Conspriacy Bill character while saying this. It’s clearly meant as a joke and should be reported as anything serious.
