Who are the "bastard sons" in your team's history?

Post#1 » by smartyz456 » Mon Jul 16, 2018 4:48 am

to be clear, i'm talking about the players who have played for your franchise who, while great, are someone who you will never see as one of your own

players who played for your team who doesn't deserve to have the love and adulation of your fanbase

i'll start. the bastard sons of the lakers are lebron and dwight howard for obvious reasons

how about yours?

I really underestimated how much Lebron's move would separate the Kobe stans from real Laker fans

DeShawn Stevenson. Yet another anti-endorsement of drafting kids out of high school. I hear he is trying to revive his career in the Big Three though. CJ Miles, the other Jazz experiment with drafting a teenager, didn't work out but he did become a respectable rotation player in his late 20's.

True Laker fans don't root against their own team. That's moronic.

I'm pretty sure that most Yankee fans consider A-Rod a bastard son and he was a contributer on when they won the world series in 09

But yea Laker fans will happily lump in Lebron with all their other big names when talking Laker history

For us Bulls , definitely Boozer. Ben Wallace and RIP Hamilton close 2nds, but Boozer takes the crown because he drove us nuts for 4 seasons, while the latter combined for only 3.5

lol the Wolves haven't had any great players play for the franchise. I guess maybe Chauncey Billups and AK47 are the closest we can get.

So all the true Laker fans will actually be masquerading as some other team's fans for the next 4 years? While all the fake Laker fans will be the ones actually cheering for the team? This is so confusing..

Do Warriors fans think of KD this way? Just curious. Seems like his situation could potentially invoke these types of feelings.

Allen Iverson, Ben Gordon, Josh Smith. Basically everyone that got Joe Dumars fired.

The narrative about the only laker fans not receptive to Lebron in P&G being "kobe fans" is so incredibly lazy. Its such low hanging fruit, for narrow-minded people. As if there arent 10,000 reasons to not like Lebron and he's actually universally loved outside the city limits of LA.
