There's only a handful of players I can recall matching or even exceeding the overall size/mass of Shaq in the last 40 odd years: Sabonis, Priest Lauderdale, Yao, Muresan, Mark Earton and there might be another one or two I'm forgetting. Embiid might be able to join that club since he has a wide frame that can still fill out:

Embiid's career will be very short if he bloats up to the weight Shaq was at one time, that body will not hold up under that pressure. Shaq was like 350lb+ when he was with the Lakers.

Unless he shrunk, KG was famously 6'13", or about 7'1". He wanted to be listed as 6'11" because when he came up, 7 footers were treated differently and forced to play center. Bending and leaning can change it so it's pretty hard to guess accurately, but Embiid looks like he's probably 7'2" or 7'3". The hair probably helps.

I don't think he'll ever quite approach Shaq size, Shaq is the biggest physical freak I've ever seen on the court:
