This is true.

#2 is a major reach but even if the Pels are 5th/6th seed, I still see AD getting the MVP.

It's between him and Kawhi.

How is it a major reach?

Who is clearly better than the Pels in the West besides the Warriors?

Rockets have regressed. OKC doesn't have their best player. We saw what happened with Portland. Lakers have no shooting.

It's only been 2 games. I still think Rockets/Jazz are better. Thunder as well, we have to wait till Westbrook to come back.

Well definitely possible that they are better but I don't see it as definitively true. Don't think its a reach to say Pels could be better.

They have the best player of all those teams.

James Harden is still MVP until someone rips it from his hands.

Best offensive player in the world at work tonight.

I know it's pointless making comparisons at this point of the season when it's only been 3 games at most for these guys, but regardless at this very moment, the MVP is Anthony Davis and I don't think it's close. 28.5ppg/13rpg/7apg/2.5spg/2.5bpg on .689TS% while his team blew out both their opponents, one of them being the team that finished 1st in the league the season before. Kemba's numbers are ridiculous too, but 33.5ppg/2rpg/4.5apg/1.5spg on .678TS% looks small compared to what Davis is currently averaging.

I've been off of RGM since Summer League ended - a full three months - so I'll just pop in here and give my legit preseason predictions as they legitimately existed before the season started. In the preseason. I know it goes beyond MVP. But hey... Hey.

MVP
1. Giannis Antetokounmpo
2. Anthony Davis
3. Stephen Curry
0% chance = LeBron James

Overs
Milwaukee Bucks
Denver Nuggets

Finals
Warriors def. Celtics

Lakers finish between 6th and 8th, more likely to miss playoffs than have home-court in the first round.

Well, it's pretty obviously Nikola Jokic now. Team undefeated. Leading in OR and DR. PER is 44.7. BPM is 31, which I didn't even know was possible. WS/48 is .642, which seems like a number two George Mikans might have produced if they were on the same team in the 50's. Combined.

^Oh wow Jokic was a single free throw miss (10-11) from a "perfect game". No misses, no turnovers.

Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

Didn't play in the Western Conference where all the other MVP candidates are.

I guess this means Cedi Osman is officially out of the MVP race.

Yup. Top 4 isn't out of the realm of possibility. Last year they were basically tied for 4th and only 1 game behind the Blazers for 3. This year they look even better with a whole season of Mirotic. Obviously Mirotic's shooting is going to regress but i think they are well equipped to handle it. Randle was a really good pick up.

Curry is not gonna happen.

1. Jokic
2. Davis

After that it's still too early. Lot of good candidates.
