Has Kemba entered the next level?

Post#1 » by 316Hornets » Sun Oct 21, 2018 4:58 am

3 games in and Kemba is flaming hot. Only played 3 qtrs last night for 27 points. 41 and 39 in the other 2. Shooting 48 percent and won the game tonight.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

I remember early last season Giannis was playing well enough to get banned from the NBA. Let's not jump to conclusions here.

3 games ... You can go cold just as quickly as you become flaming hot.

If he's still above 30ppg after 20 games on good efficiency then maybe.

I think he will cool down as the seasons moves along. He's not going to play the way he does for a whole season or even half of the season. He may go up a little bit in points this year compared to last year, but not much.Maybe once he plays 30 or so games and he's still putting around 30 points per game on good efficiently, then yea it would be a sign that he took another step up when it comes to scoring. However,I don't believe he could sustain 30+ points per game on good efficiently for that long of a period.

He’s been at a level most fans don’t recognize for a while. His first few years he fit the profile of shooting PG with questionable efficiency and no D but for a few years now he’s much better. ONe of the best pick and roll players despite no really great rollmen and he competes on defense trying to fight over screens. Charlotte is never on tv and the team is not good (because they’re a dumpster fire when he’s off the floor) though so everyone assumes he’s the same guy.
Jarret Jack: “I brought one of my best suits. But looking down at this jersey, it’s just a sense of pride I don’t think I’ve ever felt as a professional. … Nothing in my closet is better than what I have on now."

He’s getting that third allstar berth in front of the home fans this year.

He can be really good but I want to see him sustain it for longer periods of time.

Don't forget he developped into a very good player the last seasons. Bordeline all-star, stuck in a bad team not really worth watching.

Love to see him come to the Sixers next summer and becoming our third option.

Kemba's really underrated, IMO. Hard to shine on that team where the whole defense is just keyed in to stopping you.

I would really like to see an alternate universe where Kemba and Dame swap places and see how it turns out.

With Howard gone and some upgrades (coach included) they now have all they need to play their brand of Houston ball. It's just high pick and roll spamming all game long. He might just average 30 for the season.

Some team should have traded for him in the off season with his contract. Now it’ll cost the farm to land him if this continues. He’s a one man show out there.
