I watched OKC and CHI game and LaVine was verbally going against Boylen during the final seconds as Boylen was trying to sub LaVine out.

LaVine ended up driving and creating for points that helped them win.

Wow - I didn’t realize that.

I just went and watched this sequence and it's not exactly correct. With 22 seconds left Boylen tried to sub LaVine out for defensive purposes, LaVine lobbied to stay in and Boylen relented. After George inbounds the ball, LaVine cuts across the top of the key to stay with him but ends up rather clumsily obstructing his teammate which acts as a second screen for Westbrook and pops him free to waltz to the bucket for a game tying layup. LaVine takes the ball down court and hands off to Markannen for the game winning bucket.

So LaVine begged to stay in and then committed exactly the sort of dumb defensive mistake that Boylen was probably trying to take him out to avoid. At least he had the sense to get the ball to the team's best player for the game winning bucket rather than try and go one-on-one himself.

The funny thing is that they all liked Fred and went out of their way to credit him for having their backs and helping them develop and improve as players.

Hoiberg didn't seem to have the personality to lead a team to success but believing in your guys and supporting them will go a long way towards getting them to play hard. Boylen doesn't seem to subscribe to that philosophy.

Am I the only person that has no problem with what he did? The starters were horrendous.

Caught the end of that game, Boylen was trying to go with Hutchinson for the defensive possession. Lavine was telling him to believe in him on the defensive end.

And did a great job on Paul George a couple of times.

Now that’s a good way to lose your team fast
I wonder how awkward their practice would look.

The Chicago Bulls. The most internationally famous American sports franchise ever. The team that put the NBA on the global map. The team with the greatest championship run in the history of pro sports. The home of the greatest, most famous contemporary athlete in modern human history. A top 3 US sports market.

.....and this potential goldmine is "run" by 4 misers that probably don't even watch basketball. Welcome to hell.
