This dude is getting fired soon. He doesn't look like he knows what he is doing.

Feel sorry for the bulls. Who in their right mind would pull the starters with 9mins left in the 3rd qrt? That coach easily gave up whilst embarassing the starters and the whole franchise. That coach is a moron for pulling a stunt like that. He should be fired outright.

I actually give those 5 guys props for not making a scene during that 2nd time. It was one of the most ridiculous things I have seen in a NBA game. I think this might be one of the fastest times ever a coach lost his locker room by his actions during a game.

He either has no clue what he's doing, or he was told by the upper management that they want to tank and he really made it obvious. Or he just flat out doesnt want the job.
i don’t think when you’re the Bulls, you need to ‘tank’. Just play and coach normally and you will lose enough.

But I agree with the general premise - horrible coaching. He should have let his young up and comers (who do have potential) play through it. The real failure in this thing is John Paxson. He has no place running an NBA team.

I get, even agreed with the first pull, a 17-0 start is astonishingly bad. But the second one was just crazy.

Are they going to let GarPax fire a fourth coach in 8 years? Will Reinsdorf ever figure out where the problem lies?

The problem lies with conditioning. Jabari Parker is just a few hundred suicide drills away from being an excellent defender.

As a fan of the University of Utah, I can tell you from personal experience that Jim Boylen is one of the biggest losers in basketball history. I cannot understand how he continues to stick as an NBA assistant coach on so many rosters. The Bulls must have no idea who they were promoting. This guy once forgot the Kawhi Leonard was on his team when he took over for Pop when Pop was ejected. He’s an egotistical know it all loser.

Was wondering if Brad, who's on good terms with Hoiberg, was out to teach the Bull org a lesson on how to treat their coaches. Certainly could've put in his deep bench guys earlier than he did.

When do we stop blaming the coaches for how crappy a team plays?

First pull out was a right move. Starters looked tired and unwilling to fight. Also it worked quite well, bench kept score even and when starters returned in first half they also played better. Second hockey change I just don't get it. It's 3 minutes in and they were just losing 3 points. So he said Pop have done it earlier, but maybe Pop is better reading the situation or actually knows his players better. That move really easily angers his players, so it is not something you should do easily.

After the OKC game it was probable that Bulls wouldn't have same legs on this Boston game.

So players were tired yesterday, so he will make them run today? Did he forget Bulls have game tomorrow? Players do need to rest sometimes, young players too. So should we expect to see tired Bulls on Monday too?

Boylen's logic: Practice is more important than the actual games itself. No worries, the starters will get full-fledged minutes in practice!

I can't imagine a worse coaching move. Shame your starters so that they lose trust in you while setting the team record for most lopsided loss. Way to start off on the right foot coach.

He couldn't have waited for the team to band together once Portis and Dunn comes back next week?

Boylen gave up.

While giving up, he embarrassed his starters, and created a schism between himself and the team. He robbed the starters of a chance to go down fighting with dignity against a better team, and is now in history books as the coach with the biggest loss in the history of the Chicago Bulls.

All this while preaching playing hard and with effort, which means not giving up.

Must be nice to to be completely clueless at your job and run NBA franchises into the ground while making millions of dollars.

Chi fans should boycott until GarPax are sent packing to Siberia.

Guess I'm the only Bulls fan laughing all the way to (next season|draft|new coach|new gm?) bank.
