It's not surprising to see Ayton, Doncic and JJJ top nearly every list but the biggest one is Mitchell Robinson. He is absolutely destroying all rookies in most of the defensive and rating stats along with shooting percentages (due to all shots pretty much being dunks).

Ayton should really be getting more recognition than he currently is. It's too bad the NBA doesn't care about non three point shooting bigs..

This draft class is very well selected in general, with all TOP5 picks proved they are TOP5 worthy, and no bust-alert for any of the TOP12 picks so far, which I can't remember is ever happens anytime before.

Mitchell Robinson is the obvious steal of the draft so far (waiting for M.Porter), Knicks somehow take such prospect in the 2nd round of the draft. But to be fair, his current advanced stats were overrated compared to the others most notable rookies, because he using the advantage of playing a big part of his minutes during garbage times, unlike other top prospects of this class. So I see in his case some kind of "Boban Marjanovic effect". But that said, I must remind that rookie under the radar with great advanced and per minute numbers last season was John Collins which this season proved he is the real deal.

Shamet with some impressive offensive production. He looks like our Redick of the future.

I agree except for Trae Young. He's the one guy in the top 5 that looks questionable.

I don't think it's that as much as it is team performance. The Suns have been playing better lately though, so that may change.

He is a good floor general and great playmaker even if his shooting from three is terrible. He is crafty with the ball. His floater game is coming along. Seems like enough things to hold on to. Sometimes rookies just aren't great at shooting. Seems like things are slowing down for him nonetheless.

Of course it also helps that the 0-6 game from 9 games ago drops off and is replaced by 4-6. Glad he's shooting better though.

Since John Collins returned from injury and Kevin Huerter was inserted in starting line-up, Trae is no longer leading the team in field goal attempts. He doesn't need to carry the offensive burden anymore.

He seems mentally stronger than JJ who has a tendency to overthink things under pressure

Without the stats, and just reading Realgm comments, you would swear Doncic was the only rookie who exists and was the leader in every category.
