NBA equivalent of Tom Brady?
*blasphemous NFL topic on the GB*
Going with Duncan...
5 titles (for now)
One team his entire career
Incredible longevity
Incredibly clutch
Not considered the most talented player at their position
Never an off-the-field incident

Duncan or Kareem

When I saw this topic, I immediately thought of Duncan.

There isn't one. Brady's dominance for this long is insane. He's the GOAT.

According to your logic, Tim Duncan doesn't deserve any respect.

Yeah only head to head comparison is MJ. Nobody else I feel is even famous enough on a national and international level to go against Brady.

1) Didn't have a continuous career 2) Wizards
Like others said, Duncan is the closest (the GOAT for his position), and only answer.

Tom Brady is not very famous internationally, because American football isn't very popular internationally.

On a international level 30+ NBA players are more famous than Brady.

This thread isn't going to go anywhere.
Believe me there are very few NBA players who are the equivalent of Tom Brady, period. I can only really only go with MJ. You got to be the absolute very damn best at your craft.

He actually is famous on an international level due to being married to Gisele Bundchen all these years.

Re: NBA equivalent of Tom Brady?
There is no comparison. Just talking strictly about playoff success and glory, what Brady has done in the salary cap era has surpassed even the dynasties of the 49ers, Steelers, and Cowboys. 3 straight Super Bowl trips, 9 overall Super Bowl trips, 5 Super Bowl wins, 16 out of 18 division titles since 2001, 8 straight AFC Championship games.
While someone like Lebron has had a comparable run, he has not been nearly as successful in terms of the big game, and it's hasn't surpassed the 60's Celtics dynasty.

Kareem is a good one. Insane longevity (moreso than Duncan) and I think you can compare the end of Kareem’s career to the start of Brady’s in terms of championship roles.

You talked about players being known on a international level. I wasn't speaking about who is the best. Pretty sure Kyrie Irving is more famous in Europe than Tom Brady.

Not a shocker, Kyrie is a real gem.

Anyway who cares? Just enjoy watching the GOAT QB go to another big game. Going to be a GREAT Super Bowl.

Has to be MJ...MJ is the GOAT of basketball and Brady is the GOAT of football.
