D-Lo will qualify for the max after this season, and for the Nets that means a 5/156 deal.

You're Marks. What do you do?

I would. Nets need a face for the franchise. He's young and can score and willing passer.

I wouldn’t but Nets will and regret it.

I think Nets should do whatever they can to keep D-Lo. He's only going to get better. Most understated aspect of keeping him is that he's close friends with young stars like KAT (from what I read). FA recruitment incoming...

Maybe not 5/156 but close to it.

You would like to see him shooting better; but I don't think they have much of a choice. He is their best player and 1st all-star since JJ in 2013/14.

As of now hell no. The dude has had one good month in his 4th year. If he keeps up how production the rest of the year then maybe but his efficiency is already way down in February and this is a death contract waiting to happen. Dude’s who can’t D up and can’t score efficiently (-4 rTS%) are NOT Max players.

They should do everything in their power to retain him for less than the max

I don't think he's a worthy max guy yet

D-Lo seems like one of those players that will get paid and immediately go full scrub.

That is a better compensation or something like 5/110 range would be fair.

I definitely don't see the Nets giving D-Lo the "full max", as the OP puts it. He is making himself money though, for sure. As someone already pointed out, he is 22 and only getting better.

Bite the bullet and do it, sure he has injury risks but now those little things he needed to work out where sorted (more consistent 3pt shot, better decision making ability, maturity etc), he's ready to be the guy he was always meant to be.

Absolutely not. That sounds like a terrible move.

What’s his max offer sheet from another team?

Considering a worse and less promising player like Booker got that deal before even hitting free agency, not out of the question Russell gets it.
