The announcers were terrible last night

I watched the game on mute after the three stooges went on a bumbling rant about a player looking mean or something like that. Those three add nothing to the viewing experience, and their droning impression of a hype-man actually distracts from what's happening on the floor. Marv Albert needs to retire, Reggie Miller needs to be fired, and Chris Webber needs to be paired with a competent play-by-play guy who will reign him from time to time. I swear that Reggie and Chris were trying to do their drunk-man's impression of Gus Johnson every time something mildly entertaining happened, and it made me want to chug bleach.

Didn't see the all-star stuff, but yeah, the commentators just try way too hard to sound like hype men. A lot of these 90s players are doing their best to try to sound hip.

Marv Albert should've retired 15 years ago. He is like 50/50 to get a call/player right... It's almost like he is trolling the viewers. I mean he misses calls that should be impossible to miss... Saying it was a foul when it was out of bounds, calling a three despite the player being near the free throw line... Not to mention him mixing up Kemba/Beal and Vucevic/Jokic on every possession...

Marv is done. He kept calling KAT Anthony Davis. I could see once and then correcting himself, but he kept going play after play.

Meh, I’ve listened to much worse.

Like “Players Only Baby!” With Greg Anthony, Isiah Thomas etc.

So this didn’t really bother me much.

I take a break from the NBA during all star weekend. It all lost its entertainment value for me years ago. With that said the NBA really needs to step up their game when it comes to these announcing crews for national games.

He also called KAT Anthony Davis 3-4 times in a single quarter...

I have no idea why you are commentating if you cant even differentiate between the best players in the league.

Jim Petersen would be the best of them. He makes the really bad Wolves games enjoyable for me.

Seems like every year Marv does the ASG(could be wrong), but either way Kevin Harlan should do it next year. I like Reggie and C-Webb though.

Tuned them out, but yeah it was bad. Marv made several notable mistakes including calling Towns Anthony Davis. Guy is way past retirement. Reggie and Webber are pretty easy to tune out as part of the arena music but yeah it was mute worthy
