Has Lebron always been this whiny dude that doesn't take accountability for himself/failures?

Post#1 » by passthedutch » Sun Feb 24, 2019 5:38 pm

Why is he always throwing his team under the bus? Is he trying to sound smart or better for the cameras/media? How come he never takes blame/accountability for his own play or his own lack of defense and poor leadership.

When he's doing good or setting records, he is the first person that posts on IG patting his back. Or when his team is winning "this is our squad and I love them". Then literally the next day he calls his teammates losers that don't know how to win games.

How can any teammate want to play for him? This is why Kawhi, Durant, PG don't want to play with him and will go somewhere that there is no Lebron. He literally can't go 1 loss without throwing the whole team under the bus.

Seeing the Lakers in disarray brings me the same kind of joy as seeing the Lannisters fall apart in Game of Thrones

Lebron is one of the best players of all time - but yeah... he shouldn't be doing this crap publicly. Doing this passive aggressive act where you badmouth your team mates has to be very grating. I have zero problem with Lebron being all over these guys behind the scenes. In private, he should be reaming guys out and pushing them hard to play better. In public, when you are the star, you take the blame whether it's your fault or not.

I'm sure post game interviews are annoying, dumb and repetitive for players.. but the answers are simple - "WE need to play better". "WE need to be more focused". etc. etc. etc

Everyone always compares Lebron to MJ.... well MJ was sometimes a complete a-hole to guys behind the scenes, but he always took the high road with the media and took the pressure and blame onto himself. That's your job as a star player (and as a good coach) You win and lose as a team and address problems inside your house.

This happens every year, everyone gets on Lebron and say the world is on fire and he's failing.

He will make the PO and may even upset anyone not named the Warriors.

No one sane denies that he's an all time great... I think that can be true while also being annoyed at how he throws his team under the bus in a passive aggressive fashion. There are a lot of superstars who don't do that and who shoulder the blame regardless of whether they are to blame or not.

Tank commander Lebron. Since LA has struck out on getting AD, they have set their sights on Zion. Magic and LeBron at the draft lottery, getting that first pick. Book it.

Lebron is the best player on the planet and has been to the NBA finals 8 straight seasons.

The question should be, why is Lebron to blame for the Lakers failures this season when a) the team has been much better when he’s in the lineup and b) all he’s done throughout his career is win at a high level?

To be fair he has to do a lot of heavy lifting.

Yestedsy Ingram and Kuzma were great but the D was completely off. Don't get me wrong, Lebron himself has really fallen off there but it's obviously all across the board.

Throwing teammates under the bus isn't a new theme for all time great players. Right or wrong, it has happened a lot. Kobe, MJ, Shaq...

That's not the point though. He shouldn't be passively aggressively saying that in public. Keep it in house.

To me this has nothing to do with Lebron's impact on the court.

Part of the job of a superstar player is to take the blame when the team does poorly and praise his team-mates when it does well. That's basic leadership 101.

If you've ever had a professional job you can probably relate. Good bosses always give their team credit when things go well and take the blame when things go poorly (and then privately address issues with team members).
