Isn't Pascal factually the better player and better all around?

only thing I can think of is age and shot creating abilities (pascal is still more efficient)

Pascal is better on both ends of the floor, he's also 4 years older and was nowhere near as polished as Tatum is at the same age.

Fans tend to overrate scoring, and Tatum is better suited to be a go-to scorer. Siakam definitely has the better overall game.

I mean that narrative might start changing soon. Tatum is younger so everyone expects a next step but Paskal could have one left as well.

Age difference is definitely a huge factor. Just imagine Tatum in 4 years.

Tatum's been playing since he was a little kid.

Siakam is definitely the better player right now (by a good margin imo) but Tatum being 4 years younger matters a lot if we're talking upside & trade value around the league.

Draft pedigree and age.
Personally I value Siakam more.. the numbers bare out a more willing passer and better defender. I dont watch either enough to say that for sure, but from the little I've seen them play against GSW, I'm much more intrigued with Siakam at this point. Tatum I think will need to be a much more efficient scorer to get to Siakam's impact level, because he simply doesnt have the playmaking chops for someone who needs the ball to be effective. Will admit that Tatum's defense is much better than I thought itd be coming out of college though

His game has barely changed from last year.
After working with Kobe this past summer, I thought he'd take his game to another level this season but its been a disappointment.

Age mostly.

Pascal wasn't really on the scene last year as much as Tatum was as he was featured more in the playoffs too.

Raps fans were all over OG being the best of the 2 last year but Pascal really worked on his game and has become a 2-way stud.

Pascal is the better player now as reflected by advanced stats and the eye test... but people will look at the age difference (Yes I know he started playing basket ball later than everyone else) but it's still that "Tatum could be X" by the time he's the same age as Pascal.

Does he learn to create for others in those 4 years? Because if not, his efficiency needs to spike upwards. Not saying either is impossible, I just dont know that he can catch up to Siakam, who's still young and improving in his own right.

Potential and age. He played really well in the playoffs, and is projected to be a great shot creator and 3pt shooter. Currently, there is no question that Pascal is better than him on both ends of the court. Pascal already made the leap to being an Allstar level player, and I think he maxes out in that tier. Tatum has yet to do so, but he can potentially be better within that same all star tier (but like I said, Pascal is hands down better than him this season)

So Siakam, who started playing basketball at the age of 17, has already reached his potential is what you're saying?

so you're saying the ages at which they started playing is a non-factor?
