How many playoff teams will be firing their coaches though?
(Now watch, Stotts will be fired)
it depends...for example, if we lost to rockets in 5 games i dont see how Steve Kerr can keep his job
What?

Yes it's all LeBron's fault that the Lakers fired a coach who won only 39.8% of his games as head coach.
This narrative is a joke. Luke's shortcomings as a coach (awful rotations, no offensive scheme, frat boy assistants, etc) were there before LeBron got there. He isn't a victim here.

I wonder how many of the people criticizing this move would want Luke as their head coach. My guess, not very many.

Agree. People pretend as if Luke was a good coach.

Yeah, mutually parts ways means he's going somewhere. Sounds like Kings.

How is Sean Miller still coach of Arizona?

Wow I was joking when I said Kidd is Mark Jackson 2.0 but I guess he really is. He may not get another coaching job in the league.

Not a good coach. (Overrated if you ask me) This pretty much sums up his Lakers coaching career.

Finally . Look his rotations were terrible . His rotations was all over place sitting Lebron to end quarters . I wish him the best but it was time to go

And Tyronn Lue is? If that is indeed who the Lakers hire, just what other all stars are going to want to come play with LeBron knowing his little buddy/puppet is also the head coach?

Not Luke's fault the team was terrible. Lebron had a losing record while playing this season. Maybe they should fire him with your backwards logic.

Christ. The team has been terrible, AND devastated by injuries throughout Luke's tenure. He literally walked into a disaster zone, and then was sabotaged by Magic's boneheaded moves to literally tank or just needlessly toss legit good players. No coach in the league would have had a winning record with the **** we put out on the court.
Pointing to their record as reason for his firing is a joke. He has his shortcomings as a coach, but so do all but a handful of coaches in the NBA. I guess Ty Lue and Jason Kidd are gonna ride in and save the day with their perfect schemes and rotations? **** outta here.

LeBron’s so toxic, he infected Luke before even going to the Lakers!!1!1!11
I will say that hiring Ty Lue would be an awful decision, but Jeanie loves her former Lakers...

Agreed, people pointing to Luke's overall record are being disingenuous. Luke took over a dumpster fire that Byron Scott left and built them up to respectable prior to this season with Lebron.
But Luke was in trouble from the moment that the Lebron camp started leaking that he'd prefer to play for another coach back in December

Wow
Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that the Kings would be a better destination than the Lakers by the end of the season?
