I don't know what's so controversial.

Close game between two great teams and one team made the key plays at the end for the win.

Lopez seems an unlikely hero but good on him he's a good player.

The Raptors shot well for much of the game... they just ran out of gas. I'm not sure they are going to be able to keep up with the pace the bucks are pushing. They need see if they can slow the game down

The Raptors shot well for 1 quarter.

From the start of the 2nd quarter to the end of the game:

Raptors shot 31%
Bucks shot 42%

The Bucks outplayed the Raptors for 3/4 quarters, and still only won it in the final 2 minutes.

Toronto shot fine from the outside... their percentage sucked because the Bucks blocked 11 shots.

Take away those blocks and they shot 49%.

That was my point... their outside shooting was fine

You can't stop Brook Lopez, you can only hope to contain him.

Kawhi = Giannis
Middleton > siakam
Lopez > Gasol
Lowry > bledsoe
Mirotic > green

Bucks bench > raptors bench

Yeah bucks are just better team and raptors need someone like lowry to play out of his mind in order to stay close.

Middleton with only 11 points...what does he average against the Raptors...I swear he never has amazing games against the Raptors, but against the Celtics he does.

That single sentence he wrote doesn't offer any conclusion that is misleading. All it says is the Bucks played better after the 1st quarter.

Except that's not really the case though, which is why it's misleading. The teams were almost exactly equal in the second and third, a bounce here and there, a call here and there and it could be the Raptors by 2 in those quarters.

The Bucks played better in the 4th quarter by a large margin.

It is the case though.

The Bucks shot the ball better and scored more points in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters.

Sure, the 2nd and 3rd quarters were close, but the Bucks were still the slightly better team.

It is the case, yes. But it's misleading.

The same way it would be misleading to say "team A was the better team throughout the entire game" when said team won every quarter by one point and the entire game by four points.

Missed the game but thankfully I recorded it. I'll watch it later. This looks like a seven game series. Although I'm not expecting Lowry and Lopez to have these performances every game. Raps role players didn't look too hot. Who guarded Giannis/Kawhi?

I feel good after this game

- Kawhi was great but looked gassed in the 4th, maybe he isn't prepared for so many minutes every 2nd night? we'll see.
- Lopez will return to his mean, but so will Middleton and Bledsoe eventually.
- Lowry was amazing, probably too much to expect of him over 7 games though
- Really happy to see Brogdon in pre-injury form
- Very encouraging that the Bucks never lost their focus and aggresiveness when nothing was going in.
- Bucks were rusty as usual after a break but this time it didn't cost us the game, they will be better from now on.

oof... the Bucks played 7 different guys over 25 minutes.

The Raptors bench played a combined total of 30 minutes and 4 of their starters played over 40 minutes.

They have to slow the pace or something... No way can they keep that up all series and win

A blocked shot is a missed shot. It doesn't matter how a shot was missed.

What matters is the Raptors shot 34-92 and the Bucks shot 37-93.

Both teams shot poorly. This narrative that the Bucks withstood some kind of shooting barrage by the Raptors is purely grounded in homerism. Every single Raptor (except Lowry) shot well below their season averages.

If it'll help you sleep better at night thinking this was the Raptors at their best, well, you'll be in for a rude awakening when they actually play well.

It's one thing to be objective.

It's an entire thing to bend over in the general board and embarrass the rest of us Raptors fans.

If Nurse didn't screw with the rotation that worked in the 1st half this would have been an easy win & even Bucks fans know this. You sure as hell didn't expect us to have the lead for 38 minutes of the game. We let it slip away, it's as simple as that.
