Now charged with escape and resisting arrest when he was initially "just" accused of trying to enter the VIP area without proper pass.
Great thinking there Josh...

100%. What would have probably been 30 minutes in cuffs, at worst the drunk tank, turned into significant charges.

Good thinking there bud.

Dude is very close to being out of the league. And it also has a lot to do with his game as well.

The dude worth millions who is in the NBA tried to sneak into the VIP area repeatedly then gets cuffed and runs away from cops? A 6'8 dude at a festival running with handcuffs... amazing story

I'm sure his attorney will get him a slap on the wrist claiming he was intoxicated and lost his pass after already being inside...
the cops will get an under the table pay off claiming they thought he was a Tracy Morgan impersonator who has been stealing underwear from the HS down the street from the Holy Cow and convinced Jackson he was going to federal pound you in the ass prison

"After trying to enter the VIP area many times without a pass"

I mean, jesus kid. You have millions of dollars. Pay off a bouncer and walk in.

Lol. So he tried to run from the cops while handcuffed. I guess he’s an athlete, but that would still be kind of hard to get up to your usual speed of running without the full use of your arms - at least that’s what I’d think - lol really haven’t tried it. Just what a stupid thing to do.

Why didn’t he just get a proper VIP pass to begin with - unless he did and was denied. Lol. Oh my. This dude has always been kind of flakey - ever since he stood Ainge up like he did I haven’t really been a fan.

Most people don't run unless they already have pending convictions or are not in their right mind

Especially when they are rich athletes who always get let off easy anyways

He just comes off as one of the least intelligent, most immature players in the entire league. Can't see him last in the NBA much longer. Shame Phoenix wasted a #4 pick on this guy :-(

That's why I always bring a 36" pair of bolt cutters to music festivals. You never know when someone's going to need an emergency clip.

Dude must have been under the influence. Phoenix needs some vets on that team asap and Sarver needs to get these guys life coaches.

Brilliant idea to try and run away.

A 6'7 dude running around with cuffs on in designer gear with likely nice jewelry woulda have blended so easily into the crowd nevermind the cops simply asking any of the 100+ people that would be able to identify who he was, had he actually gotten away on foot.

That's some next level IQ right there...

I was really high on Jackson coming into the league. Loved his combination of size/athleticism/defensive intensity and the potential of being a facilitator. There was definitely a potential of his career going down this path. He had on the court questions with his jumper and low IQ play sometimes, and off the court he had major questions after the incident of him damaging a car and yelling at the girl inside to get out she he can "beat her ass".

It looks like he has gone the worst case scenario path for his career. Bust on and off the court.

Sounds like one of those drunk hipster concerts so there's probably a thousand shaky vertical phone vids that start halfway through with people screaming "WHOOOO" just waiting to hit social media.
