You feel comfortable trash talking other teams as a Raptors fan?

Yeah I do actually.

Don't take it so personally though, it was playful trash-talk. Rockets with Butler would be pretty tough. A big 3 of Paul-Harden-Butler with one of the deepest benches in the league & coached by the great Mike D'Antoni :o :o :o Sheesh ....

That's a huge loss for Philly if he leaves. Not sure where they go from there.

He never even thanked Minnesota. :-?
Also, something that might surprise people. I think when it comes to athleticism, agility, physical attributes and skill I rate LeBron only in the top 50.

Lakers would have just enough money after the Davis trade to grab him (25mil).

Davis and Butler to Lakers IMO.

It's crazy that Philly, Toronto, and Boston could all be heading for mediocrity next year. Hopefully everyone's FAs re-sign and we don't go back to a one horse race in the East.

They will all be fine as guys are going to leave a truckload of money on the table if they sign elsewhere plus will all have plenty of cap space to sign replacements

Philly could have about $44.2 million in cap space if they buyout J Simmons, let Butler and Harris walk and keep JJ Reddick's $15.925 cap hold.If they let JJ walk, they're at about $60 million in space.

$44.2m in space assuming the following...
-5 players with guaranteed money- Embiid, B Simmons, Smith, Ennis, Bolden
-Ennis opts in
-cap hold of $1.825m for the 24th pick
-5 incomplete roster charges at $897,158 per charge

They could sign Kawhi and still have $11m to fill out the roster plus their exceptions. Kawhi, Embiid, Simmons.. that'd be a pretty nasty line up.

I think he is third on the Clippers list.

1. Kawhi, 2. Durant, 3. Butler, 4. probably Klay.

I think it’s pretty simple. This post changes nothing.

We give him the 5 year max and he takes it.....or he takes the 4 year max somewhere else.

We’ve tried the FA pipe dream. Getting max FAs from other teams is pretty much unattainable for most markets.

Hopefully he stays. Seems to be the best place for him rather than risking starting over again at this stage of his career, but that's his business.

Go to New Orleans! I think they can clear the capspace.
