Are the Bucks the deepest team since the 14 Spurs?

Post#1 » by GSP » Sat May 18, 2019 1:51 am

They go 9 deep and it seems anyone plus a threat to go off.

We got killed last series by George Hill and Pat Connaughton. They swung that series big time specially Hill playing like the best Pg of the east semis

Brook was player of the game in game 1 and now Ersan **** Ilyasova was prolly player of the 1st half

Not quite that deep, but deep. Difference is Giannis is easily better than anyone from that Spurs team.

The 2015 Warriors were pretty close.

Even the 2017 Cavs were a ""deep"" team. But yeah I think they're probably up there with those Spurs.

Not quite 86/87 Lakers-Celtics level, but we're getting close. Probably means it's time for expansion.

Nah, they are the deepest system. Good luck if you think you can just plug Ilyasova in a trash team and he'll get you 17 points in the play offs.

That 2015 warriors team was deep as well. Strength in numbers.

Our big man depth is absurd. We're playing two starters out of position because we Lopez, Mirotic and Ersan all needing minutes with Giannis. DJ Wilson is better than a heap of bigs in the playoffs and he can't sniff any non-garbage time minutes.

System is a part of it. Tiago Splitter of all ppl had 17-19pt games in that playoff run and he hasnt reached close to either mark since he left Sa

Here's hoping the owners will pay to keep them together.

Brogdon, Middleton, Mirotic on Bird Rights.

Lopez (most important guy to keep imo) on Non-Bird or MLE.

Hill is probably gone though, unless the owners fancy paying his $18m (it's part-guaranteed so he's definitely going, maybe traded as expiring for someone useful).

I honestly don't think they're that deep. They have an elite player in Giannis and an All-Star in Middleton. Brogdon, Lopez, Niko and Bledsoe are 4 solid role players. Hill and Illyasova are serviceable rotation pieces off the bench. So 8 deep, but top heavy. I think what makes them so formidable is the players surrounding Giannis are very complementary and well-balanced

Not sure about depth but coaching is one of the best... Bud & his coaching stuff are doing amazing job.

Bucks are legit and I think they take it this year.

People don't want to accept they're a powerhouse even though the stats tell you it in black and white that they are.

I'm happy for the Bucks and I hope they win the championship this year. It's been long overdue.

They hitting open shots. That's a skill I suppose.

Id be shocked if Lopez accepted an Mle........i think its wishful thinking all of Brogdon/Khris/Niko/Lopez are there next year

They generate more open shots than anyone else so yeah that seems likely
