What else could the Warriors have done during the 2016 free agency
Let's say signing Kevin Durant wasn't an option. What do you think the Warriors could have done to improve their team. Resigning some of their own players they had to get rid for KD is also an option. Here's a list of the 2016 free agents. To make this more fun future injuries shouldn't be taken into account

Just bring everyone else back...
I think they had everything needed, I mean they had a 3-1 lead. Just bring in another scorer off the bench maybe.

Horford would fit nicely, as he would almost anywhere

Eric Gordon would have been great for them

Sign Lebron James so we can read why it was OK for him to join the Warriors.

I don't think we were willing to pay what Barnes got from Dallas. Apparently Draymond and Klay in particular were put off by the idea that the FO might give Barnes more than what they are paid because they knew they were both better and more important to the team.
The hottest of takes...

I never understand why would ppl be okay with paying Harrison barnes the same amount of money when you could have KD instead?
would you approve your FO for doing so for the sake of league parity? hypocrisy at its best.

From memory the rumours were if Durant fell through they were gonna go after Horford or Batum

Of course that would have been a general problem that summer. Outside of Durant and LeBron, what other replacement forwards signed for sane contracts? Parsons? Deng? Evan Turner? Batum? (I didn't think this one was too bad at the time but he sure hasn't aged well).
At most they'd have gotten a few cheap depth guys (maybe Matt Barnes + Dudley) + try and keep Bogut.

Had they not signed Durant they would have matched the Mavs sheet for Barnes.

I remember this was being rumoured by the media. As a bron fan, this move for me would have excluded him from the top 200 all time.
I'm reluctant to talk badly about KD cause it's guaranteed he will come on here and quote negative posts like he always does.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.
